The website to go to, if you want to read news that has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with gaming.

How did this get approved?? Oh yeah...this site is run by pathetic Sony fanboys, I forgot. :o

...or at least sooo 2005, when the 360 launched. :p

What an idiot. o_O

...and you know it. You're just obligated to pay lip service to the PC industry, because it's you're duty.

Um, no...sorry Neil...but your game sucked, and in NO WAY felt like a movie. Mass Effect is a game that truly pulled that off, with dramatic flair...not your little arcade shooter. :o

...but I didn't realize you were a Sony fanboy in disguise. :o

For the record, 360 games are NOT "up to 4 discs"...just a couple are, and both are niche JapRPGs (which I hate). As I've alwasy said, a lot of Jap devs are just wannabe movie directors, who can't make it into the industry. The FF and MGS franchises are complete wastes of time, IMO, as they're 50% cutscenes, and 50% repetitive gameplay. ALL of the top sellers on the 360...and in next-gen gaming...are o...

...answer this: Why should MS be faulted for not going with HD-DVD, when Nintendo has been PRAISED for sticking with 7-y.o. hardware that STILL doesn't support ANY movie format??? It's a double standard, when you think about it. MS made the choice that best fit their market scheme, and so far, gamers have nothing to complain about with DVD-9 (compared to Blu-Ray games).

Their decision to use the PS3 as the base platform is for FUTURE titles...the 360 is the lead for SW:TFU.

No matter which way a dev pics, the 360 is the easiest platform to dev for. More and more devs are just realizing it's easier to start on the PS3, than the 360, because the conversion tools are far superior for the 360.

In short, this is just one more game that the PS3 hardware caused a major delay for; hopefully this trend is coming to an end.

MS did the right thing by going with a proven format, and one that still competes with Blu-Ray games after 26 months on the market. If they'd tried to go with HD-DVD, this is the scenario they'd have faced:

1.) They couldn't launch until Fall 2006, because of the red diode shortages. Toshiba had to launch HD-DVD in very limited quantities in 2005, because they were in competition with Sony for the exact same resource...and Sony was hogging as much as they could for the PS3. ...

Do you see any ALL CAPS!@!! in my post? No.

And, the vid quality for the 360 trailer was atrocious...obviously poor capture skills involved. It looked more like an XBOX game, than a 360 game, based on that one sample. Like I said, I don't need a lame comparison to tell me what I've experienced firsthand. Capice?

Any improvements are so negligible, only a side-by-side on the same HDTV would show it. I've played over 200 hrs of LP on my 360 and 55", and know those amazing graphics like the back of my hand. The explosions, smoke, lighting...all the same as the PS3. Of course one might EXPECT a huge improvement, considering it's well over a year after the 360 release, but it isn't. Enjoy the game, but stop posting nonsense to get PS3 fanatics in a tizzy. :o

First they give up on the Marvel MMO, and now they decide to do a generic superhero MMO instead. FAIL!

Blu-Ray was Sony's ONLY focus, from day one...so much so, their games library, and hardware sales suffered because of it. I'm glad MS was smart enough not to wait for HD-DVD, thus delaying the 360's launch for a year. By that time, Sony STILL would've had Blu-Ray in the driver's seat, and MS would've been stuck with having to buy out Toshiba for a proprietery HD-DVD game format.

PC devs learn to make games less troublesome for gamers to actually get to play their games. Crysis may have been the most technically advanced game ever created, but it was a complete joke if you consider how few people actually got to experience the full experience. Console gaming makes it simple, and now the hardware has caught up to PC...at least the average PC that most gamers tend to own. There will be far more 360s and PS3s sold than there will be gaming rigs capable of running Crys...

You CAN'T be serious. I take it you've never heard of or played any of the TOCA/V8 Supercars games?? This is the next game in that franchise, just with a new name. Since you obviously don't know, I'll fill you in: TOCA is THE racing simulation...NOT Gran Turismo. Since way back on the PS1, they had a ton of authentic cars and tracks, and full damage modeling and physics to boot. TOCA 2& 3 were phenomenal, and a blast to play on LIVE. This game will make all other racers look silly......

You guys have been waiting this long for a MUTE FUNCTION??? The 360 had that available for ALL games, from day 1, just like chat and custom soundtracks. LOL...if I didn't have my trusty "mute", I'd probably never play on LIVE. :o

Last gen, the 3 consoles were similar enough, that most games were multiplatform, and largely identical. The XBOX had the most horsepower, followed by the GC, but the PS2 had the install base...so it became the LCD base for multiplatform development. This gen, the Wii is still using 7 y.o. hardware, so there are few multiplatform games that can be done...which is why the Wii is getting more PS2, PSP, and DS ports, from 3rd party devs/publishers.

Whatever Nintendo does with the...
