That's the same footage that was shown at GDC '08, a month ago. :(
Regardless, it's a day-1 purchase for me.
I wish Capcom had the rights for Spider-man...Treyarch just keeps making sh1tty PS2 ports. :o
If you're not INTERESTED in Bionic Commando, why did you click on the LINK?
Take your off-topic spam, and pathetic grammar, to the Open Zone.
While he has some valid points, 5/10 is too harsh...but par for EDGE. This game is a 7.5/10 , at worst. I definitely like the first better, but that's true of MOST franchises...even movies.
...you mean like HAZE????
And LOL at you calling ME the "fanboy".
The fact is, in the realm of the JRPG, NOTHING is ever "fresh"/new. They all have the same cliche gameplay, characters, and look. The Western RPGs, like Fable and Oblivion are the closest thing you'll ever get to "fresh" takes on the RPG...and Japan will simply never go for such games.
Their #1 complaint, is something MS has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH. Racism and foul language are the fault of bad parenting and socialization...NOT an online gaming service. I suppose PC/PS3 online gamers NEVER hear such things. Riiiiiiight.
Blu-Ray would still just be floundering against DVD, if not for the publicity of the "format war". Competition is necessary for ANY product to succeed. The fact that Blu-Ray is about to add interactive features, that HD-DVD had FROM DAY ONE, proves Toshiba was on the right track. They just didn't have the $$ Sony had to get industry support (MS was a silent partner, and carried no financial weight in the matter of industry support). It's just like a sporting event, like boxing, ...
Sounds more like desperation, and bad business. If Blu-Ray has "won", why do they feel the need to do this?
The same could be said for the FFXIII....and GT5....and MGS4. Those franchises continue to crank out the same exact gameplay, but with upgraded graphics, with every iteration. It's much riskier to launch a brand new IP..."original" in premise, or not. Square, PolyD and Kojima Prod. haven't done anything "fresh" in almost a DECADE.
Blu-Ray finally gets HD-DVD out of the way...only to steal features HD-DVD had FROM THE BEGINNING. Now they create yet another reason for the consumer to wait for a "final" version of the format...thus giving DVD new life. I'm sure the PS3 will be able to do some sort of FW updates to keep up with these new features, but most consumers aren't going to buy a gaming console, just for HD movies.
"...but paragraphs are nice" ???? I have THREE paragraphs...not enough for you? It's not my fault 'indent' doesn't work with this text interface.
...at Andronix. So cute and naive. :D
...because a Sony-exclusive franchise is going to persuade someone from buying a COMPETING console. I love your screwed logic. :o
People who are buying or will buy a 360 in the future DO NOT fit the same demographic as those who like the Sony-exclusive games.
Most 360 buyers:
- owned an XBOX
- likely owned/played a PS2, but were turned off by the weak graphics, and poor/nonexistent online (and are therefore hesitant to get a PS3)
- know LI...
The REAL price cut will happen right before the holidays. ;)
...Intel will have added another 4 cores. I'm starting to see a disturbing trend here. :/
Isn't ID's new engine, first seen in RAGE, called Tech5? Maybe (hopefully) they'll use that ; either way, I agree...no more D3 engine this gen. :o
This reminds me of the grease monkey mechanic, who keeps tearing down, boring-over, and tweaking his Chevy big-block...then drops it back in, and shreds his rear-diff. Unless all of the components in a PC are upgraded simultaneously, most of this added "horsepower" will go to waste.
I can't believe Kojima didn't just produce/direct his OWN movie, since that's obviously what he wants to do ANYWAY. 75% of his games are CG cutscenes. The guy's got a ton of cash, so he could've secured the rights from Konami long ago.
