Certainly it is a bait and switch. Switch being the operative word. If it so easy to turn off the DRM, what is to stop them from turning it right back on?
Nice job and spot on. You also made me think of a question about the Xbox One: If it is this easy to turn the DRM switch off, then what is going to prevent them from turning it right back on?
Yes. I would love some next gen love! DQ VIII was one of the best experiences of the PS2.
Coming to the PC means good for Mii!
Exactly. When they solicited ideas, I said, same universe, different story line. It doesn't have to be a "save all of humanity (and alienity?)" ideas. Just a great storyline with great characters.
To Steve and George: Please play Telltale's the Walking Dead and I dare you not to care about Clementine!
BTW: Thanks for making the Dark Lord of the Sith a whining little brat (that apparently invented C3PO)
And that is precisely why I will buy it. I have been gaming since the 1970s and I need devs to take risks.
@360Degrees
Umm... if history tells us anything, then Microsoft's Console will come in 3rd, again. (I didn't include the sales of the DS since it is a handheld).
Looks like a speaker to me.
Nice blog. And I agree with you wholeheartedly. I watched the Xbox Conference and was pleased with the games they showed. Spark was easily one of the most intriguing titles and they came close to saying "play create share" but whatever, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
But, just as you stated, the reason SONY "won" is because they stepped up to the plate. While I would love a tiered online component, they did explain why they don't. I...
You get Driveclub Plus Edition day 1 with Plus..
You forgot $399 AND if you have Plus DriveClub Plus Edition Day One.
Unreal.
Sonic et al. I think that what SONY said is that the PS4 can be used offline. That right there says it all. Without online you can still play anygame you wish. No need for an online account.
Ergo, if you don't need to be online, then always on DRM can't be gamebreaking...
This, of course, is my own use of logics, feel free to use your own. But that is what that means to me. I just don't know how you can use antipiracy software if the machine...
DragonKnight,
Don't you know it isn't fair to point that out to Xbots. They want to willfully deny global sales and keep pointing at the US sales only.
Classic is right. How old are these?
Troll harder please. All of the "floaty" videos were debunked in 2006. Even did one myself, the responses were fun. Can't you xbots come up with something new? I mean, it is constantly the same claims that have been debunked years ago.
The only argument you have left goes something like GearsOW, Halo, Halo, Gears, Fable, Cross Game Chat. XBLA.
Get over it.
Wait... batteries? What? No. The new Xbox controller doesn't use batteries. Does it? It is 2013. Are you sure?
Hmmmm.... I definitely will be waiting to see what comes up at E3. Does SONY pull farther ahead or does MS make up some ground. I find it hard to fathom that the X1 is really meant for core gamers (ie people looking for a gaming machine.) In fact, I am pretty sure that MS isn't worried about that. But core gamers rule twitter and the blogosphere. That won't bode well. There are two types of viral marketing: stuff that goes well and stuff that doesn't. Right now, MS is takin...
Well. PS4 Ram will be better.... The rest... it isn't so much the tech as it is what the tech is doing. For instance: 3 OSs? that will hog system resources. A blu ray drive/ dvd drive. Okay, but not having games on blu ray? or maybe they are (why not?) Mandatory(?) installs? Fee for used games? That has to use resources to check if the game is "new" hence the forced installs. Can't just borrow a game from a friend and play it?
I would love to see a next gen Manhunt game with no blurring.
