I love JRPGs and my tops are Dragon Quest, Ni No Kuni, Final Fantasy (when it was JRPG) Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger... am I going to get a similar experience?

One of the coolest experiences I had was while playing on the University level and I had just taken someone down melee style. I looked around and my teammates were all in various stages of doing the same thing. Rewarding to say the least.
Exactly. They make an identity for themselves through a brand or team. (ie Coke v Pepsi.)
So, in this case it is the consoles (and PC) that people create their identity through. This is further parsed through some of the games themselves (ie Battlefield v Call of Duty). You will find fanboys fighting over consoles on one topic only to unite under another.
Or Misleading Headlines. Headline should be "PS4 goes for 10K to benefit charity."

Lots of comments about graphics. This is an ALPHA video of the game. If you don't understand that, don't comment about graphics, it just makes you look incredibly ill-informed.
Did you read the headline? This is the game in the Alpha phase of development. If you don't know, that means this is before Beta testing. Which in turn means they are working on things that are not related to finished, polished graphics. You'd think on a site for GAMERS you'd know this.

Why is this only a problem with video games? All sorts of used media are sold every single day. What, I have a collector's edition of a comic book or baseball card and if I sell it for what it is worth, I somehow owe the baseball card company? Used book stores flourish in used book sales, but the publishers don't claim that they deserve the revenue. This is so weird.

It doesn't even make sense to make a claim such as this. We are seeing X1 and PS4 selling out of preorders, which, considering they are launching around the same time, is tremendous for the industry.

You can still buy books and movies too. The digital book and movie market is not growing at the exponential rate it did a few years back. Digital is good for a few games and for a percentage of gamers, but it isn't the be all and end all of the industry.
Like all media, there is a balance.
