The story is it doesn't matter how much money MS spends to buy entire publishers the fact remains Playstation is the brand people trust and PS5 is the console people want to buy.
And if Sony were to pull off such a power move they would get nothing but negative press. If MS thinks several million people will abandon the Playstation brand because of Bethesda they are seriously delusional.
The point of my comment is people are arguing MS will make these games exclusive to Xbox and PC. My point is they love money above all else. They will make more money continuing to sell the games multi-platform.
Don't have the numbers but I'm willing to bet Bethesda sold more games on the PS4 than on the Xbox One. Not sure about PC but I'm sure PS4 was up there. MS likes money (you know, M$). Why would they go exclusive with games and make half the money they could be making? THAT makes no sense.

Sony has a stable of first party developers and they have added to that stable with, mostly, second party developers. Sony has not purchased an entire videogame publisher. Please do not compare Sony first party exclusives to this.

Congrats MS. The only Bethesda game I truly invested any time in was Skyrim so, personally, this is not a big loss for me as a Sony fan. Still a big publisher. It will be interesting if Sony counters at all. Their current first party studios are still superior to anything MS has, including Bethesda. I think they should just add to their development studios and not go out and buy a whole publisher. I would be happy if they acquired From Software.

Quite frankly, the 25 second God of War Ragnarok logo reveal sold more PS5s than all of MS's shows, combined, sold X/S.
Kind of off the subject a bit but I just got an e-mail from Walmart regarding my DualSense controller order. It was a price adjustment due to their price match guarantee. The DualSense, as we know, is listed for $69.99. My price just dropped to $48.05! Someone is having a sale. If you were on the fence about a second controller I would consider checking around today.

I have so many PS4 games that Shadow Fall is on my list of games I need to still finish and I got it on launch day. I guess I will never catch up. And, to your point, it still does look good.
I got one randomly at Target yesterday afternoon after thinking I was going to get shut out. It will be available. People need to quit pre-ordering 4+ systems and things will work out.
And you need 4 why? Don't say because you can afford it. I can afford it too but don't need 4 at launch. And don't be the person selling 3 on eBay for a ridiculous, and un-deserved, profit. Instead why don't you consider canceling 2 or 3 of those pre-orders and letting someone else have a chance.
I'm angry about the preorders. This is BS. More than the retailers jumping the gun I want to know how Sony is determining which PSN accounts get preorders. I got shut out at all retailers last night and have not received an email from Sony. It's looking more likely that this will be the first Sony console I do not get on launch day.

Obviously the two big first party studios that have not shown anything so far are Santa Monica and Naughty Dog. Santa Monica should be God of War all the way but I think a huge, and welcome, surprise would be a new IP from Naughty Dog. I love Uncharted and The Last of Us but something new, for a new generation, would be more special.
There is little reason to hold back the price at this point. It would derail some of their momentum and only lead to more questions. I think they will conclude the show the way they did with the console design reveal with the launch date and price this time.
I know we're getting the Demon's Souls remake but I hope that doesn't mean we won't see anything from From Software. Outside of God of War I am most excited to see something from them, either Bloodborne 2 or Elden Ring.
