First zelda game I ever played. It was so fun!
The more games that are online, the worse their single player component gets, and the fewer the number of people who play the games online. If every last game had an online component, most would not have any significant userbase after a couple of months, leading to the online death of games that we can still happily play single player and split screen on.
Take pixeljunk eden, recently. If that had an online component, sure you could play it with your friends for a bit online, but...
Yeah metallica, rage, pendulum :) will be great :D
I've tried getting into sports games, but I played ISS deluxe, was one of the first games I had for my playstation. And I can't see that football games have changed at all since then. OK so they look better but it's still the exact same game underneath, I mean it has to be. So why are sports games the ones that get releases every year? When they are pretty much exactly the same from year to year? Most other games have at least 2 years between iterations, and the sequels are often quite differ...
I am going to reading festival not leeds :(
That's good news - it means all the announcements are concerning new stuff, not just release dates/gameplay footage of those games so we will have even more to look forward to.
That's because the hype was in terms of money & marketing pumped out by MS. No one dared to go against it because a lot of gamers were anticipating the game's release based on all the adverts they'd seen for it. The previous halo games had a huge following as well, and that is bound to make the game sell and reviews not so harsh (unless the game _really_ sucked, can't do much about that). KZ2 is on the PS3, and so previewers feel it's OK to bash it. I'm sure in preview code, halo 3 wouldn...
Yeah fishy just imagine what other great games could be made with this engine... From killzone 2 onwards, graphics are going to get _even better_ on PS3.
I'm having great fun playing eden. I don't think it's quite as good as monsters, and it is tedious in the sense that you fall down quite a lot, but with practice it gets easier and it is fantastic fun 3 player. And concerning trophies, they're not just giving them away, but I managed to get the trophy for the 1st garden just by getting all 5 spectra there (which is part of the game). The controls are great. I know you have to double tap to jump, but that's useful especially if you're trying t...
Yeah one of the gaming moments I remember that was just amazing was the atmosphere when you first get into the rogue encampment in D2. It really sets the mood; the rain pouring down, the small group of rogues surrounded by a huge wilderness filled with evil, and of course the music, just made it special IMO. I can see diablo 3 losing that. But we'll see, we haven't played the game yet.
Yeah I know, I downloaded the orchestrated version :)
Can probably find it if you google around.
You don't even get hurt by that throw! If he was trying to kill you he'd have chucked you hard onto the ground so you die. It's VERY clear that the only reason he picks you up/thows you there is the devs have used it as a way to get across the level, NOT as a mechanic of a boss fight. So he's helping you. If he wasn't there, you probably couldn't even get to the next part of the level...
What I would like to see is that the boss which looks as though he could crush you with his little finger, actually tries to kill you, crush you, smash the buildings you're in, and you have to dodge, rather than him being a bit of "mobile scenery" that helps you get from one end of the level to the other. I can see that this boss will feel awfully weird to fight because he won't attack you nearly as much as even a normal chimeran soldier! In the gameplay I saw, he just picked you up...
Oh I'm not saying the gunplay was bad. In fact it was awesome. But the platforming was so much MORE awesome :D So in a sequel I'd like to see lots of platforming, OK so keep the shooting because it is fun as well, but we know that platforming is their forté and it's the best bit! :)
But it has meant that we've ended up with many shooters and not many platformers. Saying that, the platforming in uncharted was the best bit IMO. In fact, if they'd made the game the same length but with ONLY platforming (and more difficult platforming/puzzles), it would have been an even better game.
I sit closer to my tv when I play 3/4 player split screen. I used to play crash team racing 3 player split all the time with my 14" TV connected up to my PS2. 4 Player split screen is a welcome addition to motorstorm.
What does that say about you?
Oh damn...
Good. This game has a level editor already, if they made a sequel I don't think they could add anything fresh to it. But if they work on a brand new title that's just as innovative, that is something worth getting excited about.
But what about when monster hunter 3 hits Wii? That will make wii sales explode (although I think about everyone in japan has about 2 wiis and 5 DSs now lol)
Yes I think they are focusing their efforts on just PS3 so they can hit their 1080p60fps target. I can only presume they chose PS3 because of its superior tech. specifications. That said, we should see this game in late 2009 at the earliest, probably will still come out in 09 BUT I can't see what they are bringing to the table with wardevil. I mean, I presume it's just a hack-and-slash like we've seen hundreds of times before, and their only aim seems to be "make it look like a pre-rende...
