Doesn't matter to me. The only games I want to have my own music to are those like racing games, sports games etc. where they usually have a tracklist of popular songs anyway (rather than, say PJM which has a distinct musical style).
I thought music played a part in the game, anyway. Can't we place things that make music if you go close to them?
Looking at the gameplay videos again, I can see that
The visuals are amazing, especailly when looking up at that leviathan and the city
The visuals are very poor, worse than the first game, in some of the indoor environments and particle effects are very poor
Fighting the leviathan looks lame. He sees you, then instead of crushing you, or throwing you hard onto the ground so you die, he picks you up gently and chucks you lightly (so you don't take damage) onto the roo...
If "Are the multiplayer and community offerings too ambitious?" is their only -ve point I think we can say this will be a great game :)
Unless the multiplayer is full of lag of course XD
They always have to sneak an AI comment because I think it is something to be genuinely worried about. If they didn't die ONCE during their session, that's a little too easy even for easy mode, and even with that said, usually for higher difficulty in games the AI itself is not changed much, they just deal more damage, have more accurate shots, and take more damage themselves. It's not hard to make the game difficult, just make it one shot and you die, but that wouldn't be a credit to the AI ...
32 players the most.... really? Haven't you played _any_ PC FPSs? COD4 on PC I've often played >50 player matches...
Don't know but there's meant to be a beta :)
Haven't you ever played the game "trash it"? It was fantastic. It had the same style of "coopertition" as they named it (you had to work together but the first one to the finish won) and was a 2d platformer.
In rayman gold you could make all the levels in the game with the level editor and it had online features so you could share them with people.
In garry's mod you can build what you like and everything is a physical object which you can play wi...
This game reminds me of trash it (for the cooperative/competitive 2d platforming play), and rayman gold (for the level editing/sharing capabilities), and garry's mod (for the creating of physical objects and playing around with them)
I reckon it's the team ICO project. They are just the team that may be capable of a game that deserves this kind of praise.
You're right - but they've probably also shown GOW3 and MAG too soon, I mean, they're both not coming out until late 2009, right? If they'd announced them at E3 next year it would have had a bigger impact IMO but they needed something to counter the FFXIII announcement.
This site would probably say about that video, "yeah great graphics, good gameplay, but the AI is HORRIBLE". Then they would own themselves right there because it's multiplayer footage ;)
Clan UK > Clan US
lol
I can see this game being another MGS4 - lots of sites give it 10/10s (and whilst I prefer some of the sneaking in MGS2, MGS series in general is miles above anything else, so 10/10 is deserved) and there are those sites which will say 8/10, "bit of a letdown", "mediocre", and other non-descript words which basically just means they are an xbox fanboy.
Split-screen is looking fantastic - I especially like that they have AI racers as well when you are playing split screen (come on GT5P what's that about!)
Yes but you _always_ have to do that, because the easiest thing to do in a game is to make the AI shoot perfectly accurate shots 100% of the time, and because the info about the enemies is stored on the console, the AI can "know" where exactly each enemy is, without having to look at them. That was just them boasting - ALTHOUGH I think IGN was impressed by the friendly AI...
They SHOULD demonstrate it with hard AI, just to silence the haters, though. (Although it is probably still be being worked on, so maybe it's not good enough to show just yet)
thc cell, I agree except I don't think killzone multiplayer has vehicles, the ship in the video is just like the helicopter in COD4 (I think!), except you can only call it if you are a particular class. But saying that it is as different to COD4 as any other FPS is, and how many people does COD4 support online? I've only played it on PC and it's up to like 64 players :)
Yeah but fat princess, for all its charm, visuals, cuteness and blood, isn't nearly as innovative as LBP. And LBP has all of the previous, minus the blood (but maybe we can MAKE blood :) )
1stknight, let's say a game on xbox DIDN'T use live, and instead used konami's own system and servers, and it sucked. That wouldn't be a minus point for live, because it wouldn't run through live. Every other PS3 game that's online uses PSN, and I've no idea why they've not used PSN for MGO, it's ridiculous. If it worked smoothly then I wouldn't have too many issues, but IMO they should have done the game through PSN and used their servers to make dedicated servers for the game. Would have be...
Tekken 6 in arcades is being run on a PS3-based system. So if it were to come to 360, it would be a port. I can imagine MS throwing a lot of money at them to get that port, though.
