Why is it in 720p? Anyway looks awesome and I really hope they can pull their multiplayer features off.

The only trouble with the controls is the moving along the z-axis. The jumping isn't too floaty like some described it before, and the running, jumping and grabbing is all fine. The trouble with moving along the z-axis is that it will automatically switch between layers. There are advantages and disadvantages to this:

Advantages
----------
If it looks like you're about to fall on a platform, you will, and there's no need to change your position on the z-axis to land o...

Charging for it makes people think it is worth more. If you pay for something, most people think it's better than something that's free, even if it's the same product. Not saying Live isn't better, but charging for it puts it up in people's estimation. And they're willing to pay, so why make it free?

Yeah I was annoyed when my PS2 broke, the laser in the disk tray crapped out, I managed to sell it to a friend for dirt cheap who thought he could fix it though (he couldn't). Only problems I've had with my launch PS3 have been 2 faulty USB ports (which certain firmware updates have fixed, others have broken them again) and those L2 and R2 buttons that break, that's happened on one of my controllers. But then, it's a playstation console so you kinda expect the L2 and R2 buttons to break.

I would say, that whilst there are some games on 360 that can match up to MGS4, Uncharted, Wipeout HD, GT5P graphically, you can't possibly say there are that many. What are the graphical powerhouses on 360? Gears of war? It's arguably on par with some of those games but it's about the only one that is.

I think that we are just starting (this year) to see PS3 games' graphics overtake those of the 360's games. I personally think that Wipeout HD is the most technically advanced gam...

Yeah I don't think it's sharable :( Hard luck man.

Yeah it always does that. If something doesn't load, it's stuck rewinding or doing something if you can exit via XMB it will almost always crash the system and it will reset.

I've tried numerous times to sign in but to no avail. I was just about to publish my awesome (well I think so) Pong level that I've spent hours upon hours labouring to build. Really sucks. Hope the servers are back soon.

Yeah they can donate some of those warhawk servers now a lot of them aren't needed. I haven't played warhawk at all since wipeout HD came out, and I haven't played _that_ since I got into the LBP beta. And I used to play warhawk almost every day.

Voice chat has never worked perfectly on any game I've owned on PS3. I don't remember it being flawless on any PC games either, though it was a lot better. It's not the quality, rather, I can't hear anybody else speaking, yet I can see that they are speaking. This is even if I try to hear them through the TV. The best I get is garbled noise (happens in a lot of games). Sometimes it works, though I've never managed to have a conversation with anyone. This is the fundamental thing that needs to...

I didn't expect it to be true. I remember what they said on the matter; "We've gone this route and we're not going back," or something. They've done themselves a disservice; I know people who are appauled that their PS3s can't play PS2 games. It's a major selling point for the system, who cares that they won't actually be using it to play PS2 games? Nevertheless, there's not much point in expending development effort in creating a PS2 emulator when not much use is going to be made o...

I am basing my opinions on previews I have read. Now, the way to spot a bad preview, that's not really showing the author's true impressions, is to see whether they
1) List the things that happen in the game
2) List what they thought of the game
If it's more of the former, with possible descriptive words like "then there was an awesome explosion", the preview is deliberately putting the game in a positive light for whatever reason. So I don't trust it. Most of the ...

My apologies Xi.
But 3 of the games you listed aren't exclusives even still.
And the similarity in the number of great games on either system means the"fewer games for -- system" argument is unwarranted.

Episodes 1 and 2 were too short. They were also not any improvement over Half-life 2 IMO. They looked and played the same.

I don't know how many people now have 2 copies of Half-life 2 and Episode 1, but I expect it to be a lot. That's something they should never have done.

3 of the games you listed aren't exclusives. 2 I counted already (Forza 2, Halo 3), Kameo I've never heard of, from what I've seen/heard of lost odyssey it doesn't look AAA though I might be wrong there ;) Crackdown was only even played by many people to get the halo 3 beta. That leaves PGR4 and Viva Pinata. OK so the 360 has 4 AAA exclusive titles. I listed 4 right there for the PS3. So the 360 has more games? Someone show me where they are.

"We thought we could rip off our customers by releasing games based on the the same sh!tty engine (where everything has to be orthogonally aligned), take ages to do so, release a "value box" that includes the games you've already bought, and make our games much shorter and call them "episodes" to appease people. And we were right."

LOL you honestly believe the hype, review scores and general fanboy wailing about which are AAA games? Warhawk and Wipout HD for me are AAA games. I've probably enjoyed those games more than any other game I've played. So yes I counted them on that list. I saw the wikipdedia list of 360 exclusives and actually wondered what games everybody was talking about when they said 360 had more games than PS3. Can anybody enlighten me?

Shame the game takes place in the same setting the whole way through. You know it does, because otherwise they would have shown something else to counteract the "it's too grey" arguments. It IS too grey. The environments will not change significantly. We can see this by the "variety" of MP maps and what they've decided to show us.

Multiplayer, from what I've heard, is apparently really fun. Single player has been called "average" by many sites, and t...

It seems silly that they WOULDN'T release it on 360 in japan, I mean it's not like it takes any extra effort. They're making it in japanese, then they're porting it so they'll have a japanese language version anyway. I was always baffled as to why it was to be PS3 exclusive in japan.

Anyway could this be 360's biggest announcement at TGS? Seems like, to me, after all the whining of 360 fanboys that PS3 had "no games", PS3 has pretty much ALWAYS had more AAA exclusives t...
