you can fly over anything. There are military bases that the u.s. government had to black out so for those, you can still fly over them, but they won't be accurate.

Well.. not if you're the captain of the fun police.

If Disney were going to sue for that, they would have done it years ago with Google maps, Google earth, etc.

There's no way that sony is charging full price for Spiderman MM. People thinking it's a full on complete game will be disappointed.

DLC stands for Downloadable Content. This includes expansions, skins, characters, levels, map packs, etc.

@zack, no, we have Craig. You have bugsnax.

@Anast, yes, it will. Most likely with increased resolution as well. xbox one first party games will preform much better on the series x.

They aren't doing that though. The base game has all 37,000 airports which you can fly over, land and take off from because they are mapped through satellite data. For pilots that frequent certain airports often, you have the option to purchase hand crafted and highly detailed airports. You can't expect a developer to recreate all 37,000 airports by hand. The game would take 10 years to make. Same with the airplanes. They give you a selection of planes from big to small but if you are...

I think it would matter. I'm looking at it for the therapeutic aspect and I've never played a flight simulator before. I'm looking forward to this above anything Sony or MS have shown so far. Halo hasn't been on my radar since the second one.

All MS flight simulators from the past do this, as well as the competition (X-Plane). Check out the easy allies podcasts as they had a real pilot on there. He didn't even flinch when asked about the add on costs. That's standard practice across flight simulators. If it wasn't, they would have to charge $300-500 for the game.

I just meant that allot of people are out of work right now and money can be tight. Covid has given us reasons to remain indoors with what we have but not really given us the disposable income we are perhaps used to. I'm just speaking for me. Not trying to make this a MS vs Sony thing.

different times now. I hear you though

I can only see this as an advantage for parents that aren't sure what they want. The store clerk would ask if they want some extra controllers to go with their ps5 and the parent might say, nah we have a bunch at home at which point they would get the bad news, especially if the controllers are more than $70 each. So that extra $150-200 that they weren't planning on. That could be enough for parents to look at a Lockhart instead. Idk, will be interesting to see how it all plays out....

it's also a completely different experience single player vs couch co op. I can see how single player would get old quickly as half the fun is yelling at your kids to get their head out of their ass and pay attention. Those hover bikes ain't cheap.

@Itsfunkky,

Does that mean that Grand Turismo, Forza and MLB the Show aren't games because they are sim games? That doesn't sound right.

Phil Spencer said that they won't be out of position in price or power next gen. That means we're probably looking at a $300 lockhart and a $500 XSX

You know once Halo launches we're all going to fire it up with excitement JUST to see Craig in action. :)

I think Sony and Microsoft both know not to go up to $599, especially with what's going on in the world today. Both companies will take the hit because both companies can rely on 3rd party royalties and services to claw much of that back.
My prediction:
Xbox Series S: $299 USD
Playstation 5 Without disc drive: $399 USD
Xbox Series X: $499 USD
Playstation 5 With disc drive: $499 USD

@DJStotty,

Can you please clarify what you mean by spending millions of dollars every cycle to sell gamepass on pc? This gen cycle is the first time we're seeing Gamepass. MS started on these next gen consoles in 2013 even before they dropped the Xbox One X. Can you imagine the smiles on MS faces when they no longer have to produce hardware and can sell you services instead?! That's like their wet dream of dreams. For that to happen, Xcloud needs to become mainstrea...

@Spinesaw,

They absolutely will stop making consoles but that's about 10 years away. If they just killed their consoles in 2020, how would users be able to access gamepass? Xcloud is still in its infancy and not even close to mass adoption. Consoles allow gamers access to gamepass without having to buy a gaming PC. My prediction is that in 10 years, Gamepass will be on Sony and Nintendo platforms, possibly even sooner. I'm not saying it's the right thing to do, ...
