Let me help you understand. It's easier for ms to sell you a console (gamepass vessel), than it is to get you to buy a gaming pc (gamepass vessel). If xcloud (gamepass vessel) ends up being successful, MS will care even less about selling you a console next gen.
Ms only cares about hooking you into gamepass. Whether that's through pc, xcloud, consoles. In ms ideal scenario, you don't buy a console at a loss to them and instead use a gaming pc or xclould. Every decision MS makes going forward will be in the best interest of Gamepass. That's their bread and butter now.
Hopefully Sony better utilizes those features next gen. My kids didn't know that there was a TouchPad on the PS4 dual shock 4. They thought it was just a button.
Rough animations, repetitive gamelay, lack of soul to name a few. You played the beta right? Not saying it can't be decent but the devs have a lot of work to do in the next couple of weeks to launch. They confirmed it's Gaas so it might pull a sea of thrives or no man's sky one day.
How many are you trying to learn?
The fact that the entire earth is mapped and i can fly to places I've been or wanted to go has me most excited. This game is coming out around the perfect time with everything going on in the world today. I have zero interest in learning to fly a plane though, thats where the easy mode comes in. In easy mode, you fly like you would in gta or most other flying games.
At spinterboy, no but I am looking forward to that pizza sim.
For me, yes. I'm getting a series x to go with our new 4k TV and a Lockhart for the bedroom. Haven't been into halo since the second one. The games im looking forward to playing on series x are Second extinction, exomecha, the medium, scorn and ori 120 fps.
It works for Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch. Why can't it work for MS?
As of right now, this is the only game that I'm actually excited for this year, other than cyberpunk.
It makes sense though if you think about it. MS would rather you subscribe to gamepass than sell you a series x at a loss.
It's pretty clear that the delay was to make sure the game ships with Ray Tracing. Thought it was super weird that they announced it would be coming in a patch separately. That's what you get for trying to rush to a launch date. At least it will be a better game in the end, at least from a visual standpoint. I'm sure Covid didn't make any of this easier.
@Rpg, that's not what Digital Foundry said. They said that the lighting was flat, which it was... be...

While the first party day one is a big perk, it's much more about discovery of games for me that would normally not be on my radar. It also keeps things fresh while also giving me something to look forward to each month.
One is pushing consoles, the other is pushing services. The company pushing consoles will sell the most consoles.
Exactly! Lockheart, series x, PC, phones, tablets are all just vessels for Gamepass.
NOOO, I love the direction MS is heading in because It's so different from Sony's. If you want the more traditional approach, just get a PS5.
You are old school but there's nothing wrong with that. A-track, Records, CD's, DVD's.. All of these have a special place in our history and there's nothing wrong with trying to hold onto it as long as you can.
Me.. I can't stand physical media. I'll either loose it or scratch it. Digital is just so convenient. I don't care about "owning" but If I did, it's not like MS is saying you can't still do that. Just more options to app...
Teraflop narrative, SSD narrative.. Both are tired. I have a 1080p tv now but plan on finally upgrading to 4k this year for the new consoles. So.. For me, 120 fps is exciting and part of the reason i didn't pull the trigger on the the tv purchase earlier in the year.
Wait a minute... This game has been shit on by just about everyone. Now that spidermam is exclusive dlc to ps5 in a year, this game is good now?
I don't believe he's being serious.
