Sometimes I wonder what these reviewers are playing the game on. Methinks a 32" flatscreen CRT with built-in speakers. Warhawk has by far some of the best sound effects I have ever heard in gaming in a 5.1 setup. The explosions and bullets whizzing by are fantastic. You know exactly where a bullet or tank fire is coming from and where it is heading to. I personally think it is on par with COD4 if not better. The dramatic musical score comes in at the perfect moment when you wipe out...

The total units of Xbox sold in 4 years was 24-25 million (at the end of May 10, 2006).
MS needs to sell 25 million xbox360 units in 4 years to break their original xbox numbers. They are currently at 19 mill at 2.5 years.
They have 1.5 years to sell 6 million more units... which is doable of course but who knows.

Personally I think Gamesradar claim is nonsense. If one platform is better, one platform is better. It's not like other sites have never claimed other 360 multiplat games were better.

Jack, after this generation's fiasco with hardware issues and useless HD-DVD drives, I doubt Microsoft will have another chance at stealing Sony's market share. If Microsoft does decide to jump the gun again and release the 720 early, I believe they will piss off their own fanbase more than getting a headstart on Sony. Even now, the 360 could still be considered in its early years. I say they'd be lucky if they maintained the status quo. Plus I have yet to see the xbox360 meet total xbox ...

That may be true considering that 480p is 1/3 the resolution of 720p (which is what most 360/PS3 games run at.) That ratio would still require a Broadway chip at running 3.2 ghz which the Wii does not have either (729Mhz). (i'm taking 1 chip out of a 360's 3 chips lol). I kno this isn't anywhere close to real world measurements, but nevertheless worth a quick take.

How is a Wii running a PowerPC 750CX (ie a Mac G3 chip) at 729mhz supposed to perform on par with a xbox360 with 3 3.2ghz PowerPC 970s (actually Xenon but similar variant) or a PS3 with the newest Cell? That Wii Chip is at least 3-4 generations behind on a computing basis and a generation in terms of gaming. O_O And the screenshots don't even convince me otherwise.

If they applied everything on the Quantum engine to the 360... it would look like crap. Both the 360 and PS3 graphic engines are way ahead of this one in terms of features. What's amazing is how they could manage to squeeze this stuff into the Wii considering it's puny power. (I mean we are talking literally about a 729 mhz powerpc 440 gecko chip that is one if not one or two generations behind THREE 3.2 ghz PowerPC 970 chips on a 360)

Actually according to Sony they churned out 552million dollars in earnings this month. They can afford the price cut.

PS3 supporter excuses are valid. NPD only reports for US and at 5k difference is negligible. Talk about the 200k-280k monthly sales over the 360 worldwide and you do see the PS3 trumping the 360.
it's not being discontinued. Rather, Sony is now going to sell them as bundles like the MGS4 bundle to get consumer interest.
You do the math because according to my calculation at 50k units over 360 sales worldwide weekly, the PS3 will conservatively surpass the 360 by end of 2009 and that isn't assuming system sellers which will can easily bring PS3 units to xbox360 parity in record time.

Xbox Defenese force you do know that if this "forum" speculation is not verified as true you guys lose all credibility for whipping up a huge stink right? The posters haven't even been able to verify 100% that the screenshot they are using is a ps3 shot and is only confirming the resolution of a shot they received. (I went through the forum and the assertion btw is 640p for ps3 not 630p).
