Yup, very cool when you consider Xbox One will receive a good amount of the same titles PS4 does on top of 360 games being made available for no extra cost. I'm sure Sony will be sure to ask for those $40-$60 remakes of the same titles in the future.
Oh sorry. You weren't going that way were you. I assumed it'd be a positive one next gen console is offering some form of backwards compatibility while the other two big names don't/can't/won't without a...
Why would anyone expect anything different from Nintendo?
Long before their products are made a reality or available for consumers Nintendo talks about the profits they're going to make. Online services will continue to follow this path. They don't care about the product they're offering so long as they make money.
Super Mario Run is another product we've directly seen them do this with. Higher price than the competition, justification it&...
Nintendo has already confirmed their subscription will be for online play and using your own mobile device for chat. One title will be free every month for that month only consisting of NES and SNES titles.
At the end of that month content will be locked and only playable again after you purchase the individual title.
So basically they're giving you a timed trial. A demo.
Or unused accounts.
I have at least two Steam accounts. One from way back when then one that got created due to Portal 2 for PS3. Neither one I actually use.
That's like asking why games like World of Warcraft have a subscription while Blizzard already had the servers. PC does have subscriptions too.
Right? Americans typically begin receiving tax returns making money in March more disposable than money in November.
Further with no new console releasing in March competition should be fierce. Nintendo has every excuse on their side if Switch tanks.
Less consoles produced also means less money spent on production.
Further "limited stock" would justify keeping prices higher rather than allowing a price drop. Nintendo keeps prices to a point they make profit instantly on any consoles sold. This is no more apparent when:
1) Wii U still retails at $249, only having an official price cut by Nintendo once
2) They claim Wii U price cannot be decreased further, citing potential loss to the...
Nintendo confirms Switch is not 3DS successor
https://www.goombastomp.com...
What sense would it make for Nintendo to drop 3DS when they know their profits are largely from 3DS? Particularly when their last home console couldn't move 15 million regardless of a year head start on PS4 and Xbox One?
Won't waste my time with a new Counter Strike. So many promises were made for Go yet most didn't get delivered.
The console version namely received promises of crossplay, k&m support, split screen, and others that all got scrapped with no mention of said features being removed until after the game went gold.
First explanation ftw.
Nintendo ALWAYS creates a false demand with this same tactic. Limit preorder numbers for all retailers then insinuate it's because of the product being insanely in demand.
They've used this same method with 3DS, Wii U, and Wii. After product launch will continue to be short stocked due to Nintendo themselves delivering limited stock, insinuating the same product is flying off of shelves while many shelves won't have stoc...
@deafdani: You put your best foot forward no?
@superchiller: The answer is simple and has been provided by none other than Nintendo themselves.
They're more concerned about making a profit on each console sold as soon as the system launches rather than being competitive.
Zelda not 1080/60 on Switch
http://gamingbolt.com/the-l...
This exact story says otherwise.
Switch is the Wii U replacement.
PS4 offers 8GB GDDR5. 3GB is reserved allowing devs 5GB.
Pro offers 8GB GDDR5 plus 1GB DRAM. 3.5GB is reserved allowing devs 5.5GB.
Xbox One offers 8GB DDR3 plus 32MB eSRAM. 2.5GB is reserved allowing devs 5.5GB.

Eurogamer is the only outlet reporting 1080/60. It appears to be a benchmark they want to hit. 900/30 seems to be what it's at.
If 900/30 is where it's at now don't expect 1080/60. 1080/30 or 900/60 ma...
Based on Zelda running 900p while docked. 720 while not.
Well, there's no sense in ifs or hypotheticals when facts state 100% Microsoft owns Scalebound. Not Platinum Games. Therefore, factually, Nintendo nor Sony can pick up Scalebound.
Factually Microsoft already has the ability to give the middle finger as it's their property. It'd seem like they already did to Platinum Games.
Microsoft gets to deliver the finger to Sony, Nintendo, and Platinum Games as Scalebound belongs to MS
Wii U to Switch is not nearly the same as PS3 to PS4 or Xbox 360 to Xbox One.
