@NewMonday: I owned 3 PS4s, numerous Vitas & PS3s, along with multiple other PlayStation consoles. I now own a Xbox One.
Many titles for PlayStation 4 are remasters or little throw away titles. The level of excitement is also lower than PS3 and previous consoles due to exactly that. LittleBigPlanet, Uncharted, Resistance, and other IPs all marked new progress in the way games were done. They introduced something new. Then most returning IPs weren't simply rehashed v...
Forza Horizon 3 has moved over 2 million units. Gears of War 4 has moved 2.76 million units. The Xbox One as a console has moved 28.6 million consoles.
If your definition of successful is selling 2.6 million units to an install base of 55.6 million surely selling over 2 million to an install base of 28.6 million is also successful if not more successful.
It's already fixed. The service started going wonky around 11:30 AM MST but was restored by 2 PM MST.
@yomfweeee: Wtf is PLAN? Better yet did you just act like a fanboy by insinuating fanboys justify Xbox Live being down in an article exactly about that where mentioned comment had nothing to do with the actual downtime? Congrats to you tool. Holier than thou I suppose.
I'd imagine. It seems the new S controllers plus newer variations like this have kept it. A lot of people like the diamond grip, me included.
Looks great! I'd love to see other color variations of this in the future.
EDIT: It's a new series of controllers announced, not limited to this one. 🙂

No, it is not. The Nintendo Switch shares specs with mobile devices of the past. A LG G3, Galaxy S6, iPhone 6, and others already matched specs. All of these devices are old and outdated in mobile terms.
Odds are IPs coming from Microsoft post-Scorpio launch will be made with Scorpio in mind then downscaled to Xbox One/One S. Third parties have shown with Pro that they don't mind "enhancing" their games for it. Scorpio should logically get the same treatment plus PC developers should love being able to downscale their products less for Scorpio compared to current offerings.
I'd bet Forza in particular will benefit from Scorpio in the future plus IPs like G...
The simple and honest reason why is the Xbox One OS is a modified Windows 10. Of course porting from a Windows based code to even a modified version of Windows is easier.
Kingdom Hearts 3 will be available on Xbox One. The franchise is also not PlayStation exclusive.
Crash Bandicoot is not confirmed to be a sole PlayStation exclusive. Crash Bandicoot went to other consoles and away from exclusivity. Further Sony has no hold of the Crash franchise as all rights are owned by Activision. There is also a myth out there that Sony has rights to the first three games which is slightly untrue. Sony published the first games but Universal Studios was...
10 is flat out amazing after dealing with 8. The same applies to Windows Phone. The Windows 8 OS is flat out trash on mobile but 10 feels amazing.
They would as they have a warranty period that guarantees replacement
So how was Zelda at 60fps? Oh, it's not like most titles for the Switch and even future titles are being confirmed to not be 60fps? Then they're at least 1080 right? I mean because of a lower frame rate?
YOU SAY NO?!? WTF!?!
By what? Using Cell in PS5 for PS3 games or just pretend PS3 didn't work outside of rentals?
Then even then PS4 is now expanding into PSOne remasters with Crash Bandicoot which tells me BC for even PSOne & PS2 games isn't happening. If PS4 can't do BC with anything previous what is PS5 going to offer outside of possible PS4 BC?
Sony shot itself by choosing Cell for PS3. It did it again by moving away from Cell after. To put it blatantly Ce...
It should also be noted Switch uses LPDDR4, not DDR4. LPDDR4 is mobile based, used in devices such as iPhone, Galaxy, and others. It's made to need less power but sacrifices speeds greatly with a smaller bus compared to DDR4.

While you may have studied it you definitely didn't graduate if you think conversion works that way. GDDR5 may be faster but it does not magically double the ram you have in anything.
Faster access to the ram maybe. That all depends on how things are coded as GDDR5 is the GPU, not CPU. Thus CPU dependent processes will not produce maximum performance nor faster access.
Even in that instance 6 does not equal 12 then I also wonder where you get 6 to eve...
They don't want multi platform games.
They want the mobile developers on board to push the mobile aspect of Switch. The hardware involved with Switch is nothing more than mobile hardware. The type of ram involved, the amount they chose, the display properties of the Switch, and even going to a card shows what Nintendo wanted to do.
Leaving Switch missing so many features and sticking to it being "gaming only" is the mistake I see here. The d...
It's now confirmed by more than one hacker.
"Update 2017/3/12: A proof of concept confirming the exploit has been released by another developer."

Both PS4 and PS Vita are hacked in one way or another.
Yes, it likely has been hacked as much of Switch isn't far from mobile comparison of specs nor OS.
@Kaneki-Ken: Not quite.
Activision OWNS Crash fully. Assets and all.
Sony got PUBLISHING rights of the first three games
Universal Interactive Studios OWNED licensing rights to Crash that then went to Vivendi. Vivendi and Activision merged which gave rights to Crash and Spyro to Activision. Activision later bought out shares Vivendi owned and became its own entity.
Forza Horizon 3 sits at 2.09 million units.
Gears of War 4 sits at 2.76 million units.
Also that 1.3 million figure is both Switch and Wii U, not just Switch.

It should also be put into context to state Zelda needs to sell over 2 million units to break even. Now ...
