A fraction is always better than none
@r2oB The Xbox One S gained a 4K drive and it did not increase the price over the original Xbox One at the same time
@GTgamer: Welllllllll have you noticed that 4K patches or updates are then always required for that content and doesn't come on disc? As the PS4 & PS4 Pro use a similar Blu-Ray drive to the PS3 capped at 50GB disc capacities? 4K drives support over double that.
There's a few stories out about how easy it is to get games upgraded for Pro but not as many as Xbox One X and definitely not in such a short period of time
His reply is a quote from the story if you read it
"The 4K update will be free, while the Super Duper Graphics pack (which is pictured in all of these images, on top of 4K updates) will cost extra, though Microsoft is still nailing down the price."
The author doesn't deny that and actually states as much. I chose not to change the headline they used however was I don't like altering what others have already wrote.
Look at Satellite and Radio Internet providers. They all have caps still and low ones.
I live in a rural area in Colorado in the US and have a 350GB cap. They charge for every 10GB after.
Stating Comcast. They at least don't enforce their cap policy unless you go massively over which last I knew was 500GB a month then capping already high speeds. Up to 1GB in households now.

"The team is still making tweaks at this point, but he replied that it’s most likely going to run at 4K@30FPS while also getting those additional graphics effects that PS4 Pro only enables when running at 1080P resolution."
Pretty much states they chose to add effects on top of the 4K/30 PS4 Pro offers while Pro can only sustain those same effects at 1080p and not 4K.
That should also be somewhat telling as to how taxing their effects are. It...
It can hurt their business to not as they're the only platform holder at this point not opting in.
Further it can hurt because the update process IS going to be slower on PS4 compared to everywhere else and will not likely receive 1-1 content solely due to their own decision to opt out.
It literally guarantees a poorer experience on PS4 compared to anywhere else for titles choosing to do crossplay in this fashion with Sony delivering the guarantee.
Not even one but here's the issue.
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO MANDITORY REQUIREMENT TO BE SIGNED INTO XBOX!
Individuals can see the system for themselves right now if they wish. Simply download Minecraft on Windows 10, Android, or iOS. Once the menu comes up there's a box to click to CHOOSE to sign into Xbox Live. Doing so allows crossplay with other platforms even currently along with Achievement support that is linked to Xbox Live. You don't sig...
There's nothing new about it outside of Xbox & Switch joining in. The same system has been in place for nearly a year for PC, Android, and iOS.
Stating that's why Sony isn't begs the question again about why Nintendo is while Nintendo is known to have a younger playerbase than PlayStation invalidating Jim Ryan's comments.
Sony at this point is saying anything they can to defend the decision. It's not about what the player or consum...
Rocket League exists using another method and is still rejected.
Not to mention Sony did it before with Steam for Portal 2. Allowed users to choose creating a Steam account that was signed into on PS3.
The PC and mobile versions already allow Xbox Live login
You absolutely do not need a Xbox Live subscription to do this. A non-paid account works just fine as evidenced by the existing iOS and Android versions.
Using that argument would also make one wonder why hosting competing services in the form of Netflix, Hulu, and other providers that offer Sony direct competition in other aspects is ok and not detrimental to Sony but yet somehow this is.
Sony doesn't monitor that content, it requires a separate paid...
They're barring that possibility with Minecraft due to it using Xbox sign in on all existing platforms. Android, iOS, & Windows PCs already use the method. Xbox will be native for Xbox platforms.
With Nintendo now willing to support crossplay I'd imagine a similar method.
That's two games now gaining crossplay on every platform except one. The PS4. Sony really needs to get on the ball. It's just good for gamers and allows everyone to play together regardless of platform.
"Sony only announced 1 big new game which was Shadow of the Colossus. I was expecting a little more then that."
It's awkward to see someone state an individual never claimed it was "new" when you can pull a direct quote from the same page stating the opposite.
By default also the aforementioned HD remake on PS3 would hold more content as it packs in two games, not one.
Shadow of the Colossus isn't even a "new" title.

Merely a remaster of an already existing remaster divided by two.

Sony's E3 conference was by far the worst.
More remasters while downplaying backward compatibility, the overall focus was shoving out more PSVR crap. Then over 90% consisted of a 2018 launch window with no set release.
Their promo videos from E3 trailers are also atrocious. Even some admitting nobody has a clue what these games are about. Pretty much states a bunch wasn't ready and they needed something.
So an announcement trailer contains unfinished content.
Who'd have thought.
Never owned one. Had family that did.
To any extent don't see backwards compatibility on competing consoles so.
