Not every PC component is customized like the ones found in consoles
Absolutely. I have to say that hands down CODE is one of the best non-profits out there and really are non-profit. They produce results for veterans and are dedicated to their cause.
@Psychotica: My understanding is that DirectX is not available on the chip like in Xbox One X currently. The implementation is said to yield better results versus software based DirectX.
Well, I see this as a two way street of sorts. Since it does involve financials for Sony overall all areas do get highlighted.
Their Semiconductors and Imaging had a great year overall. But in the same instances they're also stating certain parts of their Game & Network Services declined in certain areas which was offset by Semiconductors and Imaging. If you're looking at financials that is one aspect which is evaluated. So to that extent you'd have to wond...
"This significant increase was primarily due to increases in Financial Services and Semiconductors segment sales"
"This significant increase was mainly due to the improvements of operating results in the Semiconductors and Imaging Products & Solutions (“IP&S”) segments, partially offset by a decrease in operating income in the Game & Network Services (“G&NS”) segment."
"More importantly, we get an update on PS4 shi...
Yeah right?
So what you're saying is Sony could do something in 2011 that they can't today. While launching a paid service the year prior with the basis they need paid services to upgrade their network.
I'm a little confused though as it would seem locking out features previously done is the opposite of upgrading.
Also, Quake 3. ☺
Valve you say? Last time I factually checked a Counter-Strike title was also...
Along with even more future content as Minecraft moves to Bedrock outside of Sony platforms potentially leaving them out of even more updates in the future
100% of CODE donations or CODE item purchases goes toward the program. Further unlike Wounded Warrior proceeds do not pay individuals working for the non-profit or for business related trips/expenses.

Activision has also dipped into revenue they make from Call of Duty specifically to donate to the endowment.
Except their comment didn't add anything about the CODE program. It was literally a copy/paste of the title here on N4G.
In other words all they did was beg for free stuff, insinuating content like this which grants 100% of what it makes to CODE should be free. Which would remove a source of funding for the same program.
The comment in this instance does the opposite of help veterans. It's nothing more than greedy and selfish.

All CODE items in game and out benefit the CODE program 100%. Activision even gives some of the revenue they make from Call of Duty to the CODE program.
CODE is a non-profit that helps put veterans into different fields after they return. 100% of proceeds go directly to that. The CODE program is amazing. I pick up any CODE items I can get.

And ya know. The entire online portion.
No, Sony only has porting and distribution. Universal Studios owned Crash which went to Vivendi to Activision. Naughty Dog didn't even get acquired by Sony until 2001, five years after the initial Crash Bandicoot game and two years after CTR.
@subtenko: Crash has been on a Nintendo platform, even exclusives for its handhelds.
Further Crash is owned by Activision, not Sony. Sony played zero role in the creation of the N. Same Trilogy namely.
It's non-concurrent players across all platforms
Story comparing Nintendo Switch to iOS devices: Check.
User proceeds to insinuate other consoles come out underpowered compared to "mobile phones": Check.
The difference is that compared to multiple "mobile devices" only one of three consoles is surpassed by "mobile devices".
@Weeblord: Matters so little you're attempting to talk power supplies in an effort to downplay Switchs other specs. Even your pow...
I'd believe a previous story talking about discontinuing the handheld devices could further find traction with this story as if Nintendo is making more profit without committing to a device and the costs associated how logical is it to continue drowning money into a dedicated handheld with less profit?
Just saying.
It was already broken by the console it's trailing behind named in this same story 🤔
All that could be deduced from this article could've already been deduced. Switch currently has a chance to fall between the least successful and most successful consoles Nintendo has already produced but still looks to fall short of the trendbreaking Wii.
Pitting it against Nintendo handhelds paints a bleaker picture as 3DS has moved over 65 million and c...
This should be obvious. The Wii is the highest selling Nintendo console. The Wii U the lowest.

Every Nintendo console outside of Wii performed worse than its predecessor. The start for Switch looks to be better than Wii U but that's not saying much. 😕
1) PS4 retails for $299. Double that would be $598, not $499. Almost $100 different.
2) Xbox One S retails for $249, less than the PS4 $299 price
3) PS4 Pro retails for $399. Pro would be a better comparison to the Xbox One X in every way.
4) If this is the story individuals choose to go with it would be pertinent to point out that Xbox One X hosts 12GB GDDR5 with 9GB useable by developers whereas PS4 hosts 8GB GDDR5 with 4.5GB useable by developers. Effectively ha...
