It does sound very awkward. It'd seem like actual privacy settings in place would eliminate the purpose of the friend codes then save users a step and time in the process.
This kind of begs the question too. If they are indeed using friend codes like that will the WiiU actually have privacy settings for things like blocking, muting, and so forth?
"Like the Nintendo 3DS, Wii U will feature friend codes so that strangers won’t be able to purposely harass dutiful gamers"
It's uh... Kinda in the preview. From what I gather, friend codes aren't gone at all but just being reworked to act as a privacy setting.
From what I get:
You find a Miiverse user
Send them a message requesting their friend code
Use the friend code to uh... Add a friend.
Seems ex...
Nope, the AC bundle like all NA bundles at least are only Wifi. No 3G offerings for bundles here. Since the 3G model is the only one on sale it's safe to assume the AC bundle won't be at this price.
Actually the Wifi model through Target is still retail cost of $250. Kinda odd to discount the 3G model without discounting the Wifi model too.
Will say this and will say this point blank.
Do not waste your time or money on WWE '13 or '14 for that matter. THQ has already confirmed that they are working on '14 before '13 even launches on top of '15 which is supposed to be a next gen game for PS4/720.
Though I don't know everything there is to know about data, I'm smart enough to know this.
If the game fits on a single DVD disc like it does for the 360 and a game data for PS3 is almost half that, there's already something wrong.
"but to suggest a multiplat can differ from platform doesn't make sense unless, each game was some how different from one another"
They're coded differently. Coding at its base creates the game.
No, no they aren't unless they want to be caught in a lie the same day they wrote out the article

Plus there's also bonuses coming for those that play AC3 and AC:L for PS3/Vita. Some details are in that same blog post while others are yet to be released.
Might it have to do with the fact that the whole "mii" thing is already being done on the Wii and essentially, Nintendo worked toward the Miiverse idea on the Wii but it never took off?
@deafdani: You mean like how it's available on the PS Vita?
The whole cross game chat thing on PS3 though has been addressed. The PS3 doesn't have the ram to do it. The PS3 has 256 while the Vita has 512, 512 being the magical number for cross game chat.

Skype can now also designate you a phone number for incoming calls

And according to that Vita supports it. US & Canada allows calling to landlines and mobile with other areas supporting landline calling. The only dr...

"A few folks have asked if the studio’s move will affect Declassified itself or its release date, but there’s no need to worry. I asked internally and was told that Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified is still planned for release on November 13, 2012. Activision will continue to support the title after its release. And as for Nihili...
Wait, what?
How does a system that's not even out yet supposedly have more games compared to the 360 and PS3 that have been out for 6+ years now? I'm no genius but the word backlog comes to mind, something the PS3 and 360 have that the WiiU does not.
Unless you want to talk about that backlog of Wii games for the WiiU, but then why are you wasting two to three times the money on a WiiU when you could simply buy a Wii to play those Wii games on?
Wasn't aware Forza or Halo were consoles...
Just sayin.
Just pointing out the obvious in saying that BO2 for WiiU is also confirmed not to be running at Native 1080p anyway and frankly, nobody knows the framerate either.
You really believe the WiiU version is going to do any better than the other versions? Before answering, consider that CoD titles are coded primarily on the 360. Upscaling on the WiiU side is going to happen.
Wow, all over the place.
ELITE isn't a DLC nor on any discs. ELITE is a standalone app that gets downloaded through either XBL or PSN. It isn't a game and doesn't entitle you to anything really outside of another way to track your stats/progress through multiple CoD titles.
Not to mention ELITE is already free to use if you so choose. Buying into the "Premium" for MW3 entitled users to get all the DLC for the MW3 season plus little perks...
"not understanding the basic terminology invented by TV manufacturers."
This is your number one problem. Do you really believe all game developers use the same terminology as TV manufacturers? Most do not.
Just the same as every year too the console version will be coded mainly around the 360 as it is lead platform for CoD.

Kinda called that one. What game developers call "True HD" isn't always what it implies.
It's my understanding that this new store will be able to support something like that in the future since it's HTML5 based. I can say Sony sent out surveys some time ago asking is users wanted a feature such as being able to purchase/download from their webpage.
I agree. While the patent itself might not be the next big thing it does show Sony still wants a future for the Move.
I hope that when Sony decides to announce PS4 they announce Move support for it at launch with a better camera. The Move tech is pretty solid right now but I couldn't ever help feeling that it would benefit more from having a better camera with it. A 720p or even 1080p camera for my PS3/PS4 would be nice and might potentially help those Move games more.
Ugh, so tired of hearing this.
Here's a thought. If there's a day one patch, even before the game is officially out, how do you propose the problem was found for the patch to be put out?
People act like having a day one patch is worse than having a broken game on day one with no patch in sight.
