but Mario is definitely no reason or factor. First of all, since it's release, how many Mario games have come out for the Wii? Probably not as much as games with "Wii" in the title.
And second, Mario didn't help the N64 beat the PS1. It didn't help the Gamecube beat the PS2, either. It looks like Nintendo's only hope to stay above Sony and Microsoft was to get money from non-gamers, because gamers don't look very interested in them anymore.
If I matched up by theme? I'd go like this:
L4D - Dead Nation
Halo - Resistance
Mass Effect & Gears - Uncharted & SOCOM
Forza - Gran Turismo & NFS: Shift
Tekken - Tekken & God of War
COD - COD & Killzone 2
And for the uncategorized (some already released), I'd choose Ratchet & Clank, Heavy Rain, Warhawk,
If you can get both, definitely get both. If you can't, I'd say PS3
Platinum Trophy, anyone? I hope I can get it to go along with my Uncharted 1 Plat =D
Dude, I don't mean to be the math teacher of the crowd, but I think your numbers are off.
@below: me too. I know about 5 people with 360s, and they all have had a problem with it. Three of them went through more than one.
It's weird how HDMI cables can go for $30 in stores, but $5 online.
Hellz yeah, man! Nothing beats getting the full grasp of the game like reading "Please insert disc 2"! It makes the game so uninterrupted and makes me feel like I'm in there, you know?
Isn't it great, though? Swapping discs have been in this industry at least since the PlayStation 1 days, and to have it present in the super-technologically advanced, High-Def, 3D enhanced, Blu-Ray, motion sensed, touch screen-enabled generation that we're in now really brings back some m...
I would expect you not to read the rest and get offended right away. Using avatars in games have been done for at least 3 years now. It's not really supported, nor will it justify my main point, which was price points. Using them in Guitar Hero is fine (even tho they look like they don't belong in there) but what you might have missed was the $5 lightsaber (which will buy you an apartment in Home, which extra things added in). It's fine if you use your avatar, but what are you using the light...
Get your $5 lightsaber for your un-used, ridiculously pointless 360 avatars here, $5! No, better yet, buy this picture for wayy too much and use it as an avatar for your gamertag! No no no, wait! Remember the Gran Turismo $40 "demo"? Why not pay $60 for a Halo 3 alternate ending!?! Fantastic! Let's all pay $300 dollars to buy a console that breaks 2x as much as another console at the same price and with no online access fees!
Prices are always ridiculous. Why not compla...
@Aquarius: I was thinking the same thing. haha
That's fantastic captain obvious. Please, tell me that I'm reading this on the internet. I really need someone to point out the obvious!
Seriously though, listen to what your name says (shut up and play). Go play what you don't think sucked so others can do the same.
I don't even think Too Human got too hyped. Not that it was good or anything, but I don't even remember when it came out and I only heard about it at E3 2007.
I tried making my own color, and I loooove the red and black combination. It looks amazing. Try making the top black, bottom red, logo red and controller metallic red.
Hmm, I want a Slim now =(
Halo killed itself with ODST, man.
Thank you. I waited 4 years expecting a next-generation San Andreas x10, but got a GTA III x2....
I'm still trying to catch up with the games. I have yet to buy Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Motorstorm 2, Batman and a ton more that I can't name because it'll make me upset that I don't have them yet =(
You dont download LBP or Killzone 2, either. And just because its on disc doesn't mean it's suddenly worth it. Halo 3 with a seperate storyline. Kinda reminds me of Halo 2 when you played two different stories. How can you justify an extra $60 for something Halo 2 did for $50?
you guys are ridiculous...
Wolfenstein got released the same day the Slim was announced. PS3 stole the spotlight. I'm not saying it was to blame, but it definitely got everyones attention, just look at the sales.
It's like whenever you hear "PS3" and "blame" in the same sentence, you guys jump to it.. its not always to make fun of the PS3.
Those gray boxes woulda fit perfectly with the interface... from back in 2006 when everything was pretty much gray and dull. Now, the whole look of the interface is a bit more like the interface from Life With PlayStation.
I still think Warhawk was the defining online experience.
