I was talking to my step-brother about the PS3 (he has a 360) and he told me he wasn't much of a PS3 guy. Fast-forward to just 2 days ago: he texted me saying he's getting a Slim today!
I consider 2009 to be the year for it because of the big change and turning point.
Every year after this is just another punch in the combo.
I don't think it was really that biased, yet some of the things were a bit too... unusual to put in.
That fact that it's a linear experience is a bad thing? In a shooter/adventure game? Not all games have to be GTA-scale. The developers who create games with linear story-lines use that linear path so that you don't miss anything you might be missing if you had all this space with limited time. They want you to progress with the story, unlike in GTA where many would just go in and...
Come on, people, stop pretending like sales don't matter. Half of you weren't saying "another Amazon story..." when ODST was number one.
Bottom line is, SALES DO MATTER. Do they matter to the gamer? YES. Sales indirectly effect the gamer because developers are making games in a age when their fans can watch their work over the shoulder to make sure everything is going well. Do you think Heavenly Sword would've gotten a sequel if it sold 5 million copies? Of course. More...
yea, like the fact that it actually works over 95% of the time. That's my favorite part =p
To be truly honest, I thought it would do 15,000 in a month (in Japan)... I'm not even joking, I thought it was going to fade out. They shut me up in one week...
And as for TRULY impressive, Sony is neck in neck with a 4 year console using their 9 year old console. The PS2 just narrowly missing a tie by 200 units when compared to a current generation console is absolutely sad. Most successful video game console in history lives on.
I also never noticed the Wii sellin...
don't worry, dude. I caught that one right away. lol
Metal Gear Solid 4 is punching you in the face.
Yes.... Game "the of" Year and Game "the of" Decade indeed... lol
But anyways, I would have never imagined Sessler saying it's the best singler player games he's ever played. Usually a game is always "ONE of the best multiplayer", "ONE of the best co-op" or "ONE of the best single player", but when you hear what he said, you can't help but pray that Sony sends out the right commercials for it and in huge amounts, too. This series ...
I'd imagine they care just as much about hardware than software and judging by how bad the 360 has been selling lately, they needed Halo back. What are they gonna do when Halo runs dry? I'm not sure.
Notice ODST sold over 2 million, yet failed to sell consoles. All the Halo fans already have a 360. Not trying to defend, I'm just saying that it's probably why the 360 is so low in the charts.
Yeah dude, check again. There are always a ton of people on when I get on there. Heck, there are still a bunch of people in Resistance: Fall of Man!
If anyone can figure out why the PS2 is still selling, let me know.
Oh wait, I do.... because it's badass! Oh, and congrats on the great sales, PS3!
good luck with that.
Not bad, but I'm a bit surprised the 360 did worse after the price drop. Or am I reading it wrong?
Uncharted 2 (Sorry R&C).
You better not be using Windows right now. lol

"Dude, if you’re going to make posts like this – you shouldn’t sign up for a GAF account with your Microsoft corporate email. Seriously."
That.... was awesome.
wow.
Killzone 2, an underdog, sells over 2 million and it's a disappointment.
Halo: ODST, part of a proven franchise, sells the same and is considered a hit?
