Too much screen tearing for me.
I hate screen tearing with a passion and won't even give a game a single chance if it resorts to screen tearing.
This is one of the reasons I can't stand DICE. Their frostbite 2 engine sucks on consoles and from what I've played, it also sucks on Need for Speed The Run.
I'll be playing Modern Warfare 3 and Uncharted 3 this winter. These 2 games are perfect.
Hey everyone! Let's make fun of how old Call of Duty's engine is!
Do you want to buy an engine, or a game? I'll take the game that's more fun FOR ME... and that game does not start with "B" and end with "attlefield 3"
But both Naughty Dog and Infnity Ward release a new game every 2 years.
Uncharted 1: 2007
Uncharted 2: 2009
Uncharted 3: 2011
Call of Duty 4: 2007
Modern Warfare 2: 2009
Modern Warfare 3: 2011
Same development cycle.
Also, Infinity Ward has stated that they've made improvements to their engine such as lighting, sound and animations.
So just as NaughtyDog are making improvem...
This isn't new news is it? Did they tweak blind firing?
"So that means we're just getting the same old recycled engine with slightly updated graphics? Why don't they just make a new engine? They've had 2 years!"
^
This is what people would be saying if we were talking about MW3, but for some strange reason, nobody says a think about Naughty Dog basically any developer that uses the same core engine for their sequels.
Anyway... I agree. I don't think we'll see better looking vi...
If it's the old hard drive, I can't use it.
Too bad.
I am so disappointed in Frostbite 2 on consoles. I'm also disappointed in Black Box because they brought us the Skate series and those rocked.
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit looks better than this... even though it doesn't have an avalanche in it.
DICE... why did you promise so many things and then come up with one of the crappiest looking engines from a console perspective? CryEngine 3 looks better than this.
I noticed a lot of weird fli...
*sigh*
Rockstar did NOT develop LA Noire.
incgamers... amateurs.
WHAT?!?!?
I hope they don't start doing this with all Sony DLC!
Here's my situation:
I have 2 accounts total. I use my original PSN name to purchase things on the store (since that's the name I used to buy stuff when I first got my PS3). I got sick of that name and made a new one, but I still prefer to keep all purchases on my original name to keep things tidy (I don't wanna have to try and figure out which account purchased d...
That's so true. They don't necessarily need to make another leap in graphics this generation. I think they've perfected their craft now and hopefully they spent more time on other aspects of the game.
There's no doubt in my mind that this won't be another action-packed blockbuster hit. I love Uncharted's stories and locations. Everything is so perfect.
I'm excited for November 1st.
I bet 99.99% of people commenting here on N4G have no clue about what goes into making a game and wouldn't be able to make a game as good as call of duty even if they did.
Also, maybe they don't know the issues from the previous call of duty because they didn't even have anything to do with that game.
By the way, why does everyone think graphics come first?
No, I don't think they should end it. Why haven't they ended south park yet? I mean, year after year, it's the same exact show.
Agreed. Everything is turning into a first person shooter these days.
He should have just made it 30fps like most console games. While 60fps is nice, it's not needed most of the time.
Mark my words
THIS GAME WILL HAVE SCREEN TEARING.
It's not from the crappy video. That's how the game is. Just accept it.
Is that better than sending out a crappy quality beta and then when people are up in arms on how much it sucks, the developer has to go on interview and say "Don't worry folks, all is fine in the final game!"
Are you really going to trust them at that point?
I played the Killzone 3 beta and it was fun, so I was pumped to buy it.
I played the Uncharted 3 beta and I'm pumped for the full game.
Companies shouldn't b...
Where's the gameplay?
I wish more game companies would work on getting their game to run well instead of resorting to frame drops and screen tearing.
I'd gladly take worse graphic detail for a smooth game experience.
That was hilarious!
I'm one of those people who just likes to play... I don't care about my K/D. In fact, I'm that guy that will run at an enemy with a grenade and purposely hold it until we both die. I just don't give a F**K because it's fun.
If games require work, then count me out. I like to have fun. I'm only investing my time in entertainment... not practicing to be the best online player.
How can they use the same engine over and over again? Afterall, you're supposed to be playing an engine and not a game.
