Dude, I was giving you my perspective on it. I tried having fun with it, but it's just not doing it for me. I have played the game and I am still buying it for the Single Player. I enjoyed Uncharted 2 very much, but I didn't enjoy the multiplayer portion of it.
Nothing against you. I'm allowed to not like something aren't I?
I found the multiplayer to be boring and lacking the "fun". I keep getting killed with cheap shots and it seems like I can shoot someone for forever and they don't die... then I get punched once and I'm down.
I attributed my failing as my own fault and not the fault of the game, but I'm not usually this bad at shooters.
Anyway... just as with Uncharted 2, I'm not buying this game for the multiplayer aspect. I'm getting it for the...
No.
I hope they don't change the XMB. I like the way it is.
If they do need to change it, I hope it's optional.
Does anybody remember all the glitches the Uncharted 3 beta had, or Killzone 3 beta, or Socom 4 beta?
I don't.
Betas are pretty close to being the final product and face it, they're used for marketing as well.
This BF3 beta is junk and DICE should be embarrassed.
Dude, I come from many years of gaming on PC. I know all about v-sync, double-buffered and triple-buffered and I am aware that some games will use what's called a "soft v-sync" which means v-sync is on for the most part, but if the framerate gets too low, v-sync will disengage and tearing will occur.
Grow up. I know more than you think.
Loading to slow what? You never finished your sentence.
Online dash menus are loading to slow...........
I doubt it. XBL is un-hackable. Everyone knows that.
I thought we already knew this?
I doubt they completely eliminated the tearing though. I bet the screen tearing is here to stay (maybe not as many tears, but they'll be there).
Thank goodness I don't care for Battlefield games. Now I don't have to buy it.
I respectfully disagree. I played the definitive version (PC obviously) and all graphics aside, I just didn't like the gameplay of it.
DICE and EA should know that after hyping this game up to be the next best thing in graphics that releasing a free public beta is probably not a good idea if your game looks like crap and is a glitch-fest.
I played the Killzone 3 beta and the graphics were superb and the gameplay was solid. Then the game STILL needed to be patched after release anyway.
To me, the beta wasn't fun. I think I'll spend my time with Uncharted 3 multiplayer.
For me, Uncharted is all about the cinematic story experience... the multiplayer just seems... like chaos. I can't quite put my finger on it, it doesn't feel right to me.
By the way, the graphics always look better in Single Player although the graphics aren't really bad in multiplayer. I noticed the same thing on Uncharted 2.
I'm downloading it right now too. Let's just hope the servers go up soon!
HOLY CRAP! Can I just say... the new version of the theme song sounds freakin' AWESOME!!!
I want that song!
Can I redeem my code yet or do I have to wait until tomorrow?
It's not stealing if you get caught.
The bubbles look like the cheesy aqua effect Apple used years ago. I thought we were over that stupid phase.
I feel like a lot of people think "Beta" means "Demo".
Am I right?
People are like "Here's my chance to play the most anticipated game of all time evar!!!"
When you mod a game, it's no longer original... I doubt he's talking about "Crysis 1 with mods".
This means:
"We're pushing the PS3 as hard as WE CAN"
Just because they're trying to make the most of it with what they have, doesn't mean another developer can't optimize their code even more to get better results. Look at Naughty Dog, how are they able to make such a beautiful game (with dynamic lighting, smoke and particle effects galore)... not to mention great looking textures, animation and AI.
