You guys are idiots. There's no way the PS3 is storing everything in RAM. There's really not enough for that.
What it's probably doing is storing all the changes made to the world in the SAVE FILE and the information is streamed from that save file to the game AS NEEDED. It's definitely not all in the RAM. That would be retarded.

I think he means that as developers, they strive to make a game THEY WOULD WANT TO PLAY and what their FANS WANT TO PLAY.
If you're a call of duty fan, you don't care about graphics engines, frames per second or realism. You play it because it's fun. If its not fun for you, then you have different needs in a video game. There are millions of other people enjoying it FOR WHAT IT IS. It's not a simulator.

I enjoyed myself the entire time. What a wild ride. I didn't expect it to be anything other than what I loved about the other uncharted games. To tell you the truth, it was better than uncharted 2 in story, graphics and gameplay. The new meele system is awesome and naughty dog showed that they really stepped up this time.

Lately, I've been playing Uncharted 3, GTA IV, Red Dead Redemption, Infamous 2, Tomb Raider, God of War 3 and Just Cause 2 and I think there's a wider range of possibilities in third person games, such as the ability to climb things more or roll.
There needs to be more good third person games... adventure game...
I disagree. They do look and feel like new maps to me. Bakaara looks like Crash? Why because it has a downed helicopter in it? Give me a break. Also, Hardhat is one of my favorite maps, what's wrong with it? Highrise had some buildings and some tarps flapping in the wind... Hardhat also has buildings and tarps.. OMG SAME MAP!

I know where you're coming from, but GTA IV has motion blur and I use a controller 100% of the time, so I hardly notice a difference.

As far as the smoothness goes, I prefer the slower framerate of 30fps for some odd reason. When it's 60fps, stuff starts to look... fake to me because the animations in todays games still aren't as natural or smooth as real life, so the slower framerate hides most of that.

The thing is... I bought my PS3 knowing fully what it's functions were. I didn't buy it with hopes of Sony adding the stuff I REALLY wanted.

I disagree. I think 30fps works great in this game. It gives it more of a film feel. Why does everyone need to kick up their graphics to 60+fps? It looks smoother, but then it's like watching a soap opera on TV... too smooth.
30fps is perfect for most games outside of Call of Duty.
By the way, I have the PC version of GTA IV and I FORCE it to run at 30fps.

Question, if the game is fun and looks amazingly good, then I don't give a fuck what technology it's using. Who cares if it has "baked-in" lighting or effects. Most devs choose 720p because they can add more detail to the image and not much is gained by upping it to 1080p. In fact, a game running in 720p with anti-aliasing is going to look better than a game running at 1080p with no anti-aliasing, dumbed down textures and jagged shading effects.
720p looks the best on consoles considering the trade offs of 1080p. Same goes for 60fps. Yeah, 60fps is nice on some games (CoD) but I'd rather they keep it at 30 for my uncharted games...
They even give you the option to use the default aiming system or the alternate aiming system!
