Well, Blu-ray IS a SONY product, so I doubt MS would want Blu-ray in their console seeing as how they'd probably have to pay Sony to use it.
This story is 100% true!
I went to play LA Noire on my PS3 so I opened up the box and I ONLY SAW ONE DISC!!! What is going on here?
Somehow I'm missing 2 of my discs!
Face animations are top notch. I don't care what anyone says. Acting is brilliant as well.
Did it happen yet?
I think it's ugly. It doesn't look balanced and the speakers are way too high.
Nope... the patch refuses to show up for me. What am I doing wrong? I start the game and it goes directly to the game. No patch... nothing.
I'm on a PS3 slim.
Any answers on this?
Where is the patch? I just launched the game and nothing happened.
Edit: Oh, it's an unofficial patch and it's only for Hacked PS3s.
Gotcha.
Team Bondi did an excellent job on this game. Rockstar did an excellent job putting their name on it and thus affecting sales.
This is not a Rockstar game. It doesn't feel like a Rockstar game, it doesn't look like a Rockstar game, but it sure is great.
Don't expect anything "Rockstar" about this game or you'll be disappointed.
Not my girlfriend... she was bored to death watching me play this.
I have to admit this... this game is way too easy and it doesn't seem like there's consequences for doing anything wrong.
The clues are way too easy to find. Everything is pretty much in plain sight and you can press whatever buttons during interrogations and it doesn't matter. The story progresses anyway!
Anyway... she was extremely bored watching me play. I told ...
The online portion of Crysis 2 doesn't feel right to me. I can't put my finger on it, but it's not natural or fluid.
Also, way too many people go into stealth mode all the time which is annoying.
Plus, it feels like I can unload a LOT of bullets into a guy and he still lives while someone shoots me with only a few in the back (while my armor is active) and I die with a quickness.
I don't like it. Nothing feels fun to me about ...
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit - No screen tearing on PS3 version
Crysis 2 - No screen tearing on PS3 version
LA Noire - No screen tearing on PS3 version
Socom 4 - No screen tearing
Brink - No screen tearing on PS3 version
Killzone 3 - No screen tearing
Tell me where I'm wrong. None of these games tear on the PS3.
Look at the Head2Heads of them. I'm not going to find you all the links but trust me, I own all these g...
I hate screen tearing too... that is why I refuse to buy LBP2.
However, a few games that've come out recently do not suffer from any screen tearing at all.
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit
Crysis 2
LA Noire
Socom 4
Brink
Killzone 3
Screen tearing is my #1 pet peeve of this gen graphics.
Mine has been perfectly fine.
Then again, I keep my PS3 in a well ventilated area.
Very good point about the saving thing. If the hardrive is busy then the texture might load slower.
I haven't noticed anything bad about the textures while playing the game. I'm constantly impressed by the high quality of them. I may just put in GTA IV just to see how ugly and low res it looks in comparison.
This is truly a NEXT GEN GAME. Rockstar's own RAGE engine can't even do this stuff... then again GTA IV is way older.
The sidewalk texture on picture 7 wasn't like that in my PS3 version. Perhaps it wasn't loaded yet when they took the screenshot. My sidewalk textures look just like the 360's.
I'm waiting for Digital Foundry's face-off, but I already bought the game for PS3.
The textures on my PS3 copy are just like the 360 textures. My sidewalk did NOT look like that. I don’t think the texture was loaded yet in your screenshot.
LOT should wait for the texture to load fully before taking a screenshot and saying “360 has better textures”… geeze.
Also, as far as texture loading goes, I must have a faster PS3 than LOT because texture loading is pretty much instant on the PS3. I haven’t seen a texture loading yet (and I’ve played qui...

The faces are not video overlaid onto 3D models. Watch the tech video again.
The faces are re-created in 3D using game graphics.
There's no reason to change your password. What good would that do if they can just reset it whenever they want?
Also, the service to do so is down at the moment so nobody can reset your password right now (on the web).
It's official! The PS3 version does NOT look like the crappy screenshots people are posting around on XBox forums. The PS3 version looks very crisp and believe it or not, the XBox version is the one missing shadows in a lot of areas.
Also, the cut-scenes are identical on both. They're probably FMVs.
It doesn't use the "GTA engine" (called RAGE by the way). It uses a new engine designed by Team Bondi just for this game.
This game isn't about mowing down peds and going off jumps. Play GTA for that crazy stuff.
