I don't care how much the console is being pushed, but when I was playing Uncharted 2, I was immersed in a world of intense action (especially the scripted destruction parts) and I had A LOT OF FUN!
I don't care if it's scripted, linear, or has baked in shadows or animated water. When it all comes together and immerses you like Uncharted 2 did with me, THAT'S what I care about.
Uncharted 2 was such an excellent game and the most fun I've h...
This is such a minor thing but has anyone noticed that if you use a different font (Rounded or Pop) instead of the default, it still loads the default font when you use XMB within a game? That bugs me because it's inconsistent. I can't imagine a different font takes more memory than the default one.
It's not a rockstar game.
That was the most retarded thing I've ever seen.
I hope they don't change the design of the XMB because I really like the interface as it is. If they change it and make it look cheesy, and force me to upgrade, I'm gonna be pissed.
I get kind of sick of forced upgrades. I understand why they do it, but if they remove a feature you liked or change something you don't want changed... then force you to upgrade, it's not really the PS3 you first bought anymore.
I hope they wait until the next gen...
I thought they've already gone on record saying: Don't expect a new console anytime soon.
Were they lying?
I think the PS Vita's interface is tacky. It looks like something from 2001.
I love the PS3 interface. It just looks professional, out of the way and simple.
I hate the bubble icons in the vita. It looks so dated and stupid.
If this is anything like Borderlands, I probably won't like it. I'm not that into SciFi shooters anyway. I liked Killzone 3 though, for some reason it feels less SciFi to me (maybe because it doesn't feel like I'm battling monsters).
It's a game. Games are meant to be played for fun. I don't treat it like a simulator or a trainer.
The point of a beta is to find the bugs, the glitches and the balancing issues.
Don't download a beta expecting it to be the final game. It's a work-in-progress and I can guarantee that it will change as people keep bringing up issues, but you need to make sure you bring up the issues on the official forum.
Gamers are whiny babies.
There was no evidence that credit card info was stolen from Sony.
The only thing I want to know is why do people think it's going to be "720"? Is it just a guess or did Microsoft call it that before?
I don't remember the XBox 180 ever coming out.
Yup! That about sums it up.
With that said... I actually like the Call of Duty approach.
I don't have the patience for tactical gaming. I want it fast and hard or I'll get bored very quickly.
So yeah... I like Call of Duty. Go ahead and hate on me for liking something that I find fun.
.......In terms of gameplay.
It's not a demo. Wait for the full game before not liking it.
That's funny because when a company doesn't make drastic changes they get made fun of. "Their just re-skinning the game and re-selling it for $60 again!!!"
If you change it, people get mad about the changes and if you don't change it, people just say it's recycled.
The thing is... the consumers think they know everything about game design and they think that the game they love should have exactly every feature that they like and they...
There's absolutely no point in running a game over 60fps on a PC if the monitor can only refresh at 60hz. You're still seeing a the screen refresh 60 times per second but the game is pumping out 120 frames per second (which means you'll get a lot of screen tearing because the frames are being drawn faster than the display can display them).
If you have a monitor capable of 120hz, then good for you, you can ignore what I said. Also, I don't think 120hz TVs acce...
@Pekka
Movies are filmed with camera so there's a lot of natural motion blur involved in blending the frames together to make it look smooth.
You're also just watching a movie as opposed to controlling it with a controller.
30fps with no motion blur looks and feels choppy, but 60fps with no motion blur looks smooth as butter and responds to controls a whole lot better.
Play a game at 30fps on a PC and you'll go nu...
I don't care what all of you say. 60fps is AWESOME!
I can definitely tell a difference in fluidness of motion and especially tight controller response.
30fps isn't bad, but 60fps is better. I'll take the slightly worse graphics for 60fps and (don't forget) the fun.
Good graphics do not equal a fun game. Heck, I have a blast in GTA IV and that has some pretty bad graphics on consoles. The textures are all super low res, the cha...
Unreal Engine needs to die. I hate that engine so much.
