If they can manage to remove the screen tearing, I'll buy the game. If the screen tearing stays... I stay far away from it. It's just the way I am.
You like gaming waaaaaay too much dude.
I agree with most of the things you're saying and I can safely say that yes, PC gaming is for YOU, but not for EVERYONE.
Fact is, I like using a PS3 controller, and while I do know a few tricks to get the PS3 controller to work in Windows, I still wouldn't want to use it online because people with keyboards and mice would OWN me so badly. I'm good with a controller, but there's no way I can do a 270° in half a second with any bit of accuracy like you can ...
Yes, it's out-dated and old... we get it, but it doesn't mean that developers can't make amazing games on it.
Killzone 3 looked awesome (in my opinion) and I don't care if it has baked-in shadows, or non-real-time lighting effects or whatever. I don't care what trickery they did to make it look good, but I can go ahead and say IT DOES LOOK GOOD.
People get caught up in the technology aspect that they forget that the visuals still look very...
@Soldierone: I used to be a PC gamer only, but it was too much work to me. I have a high end PC with a high end GPU, but I was always messing around with the visual settings, tweaking things, debugging driver issues, and never happy with what I chose. Plus, I was too busy worrying about how good the graphics looked instead of playing the freaking game. PC gaming to me was more about seeing how much graphical fidelity my computer could handle.
Then I bought a PS3. At first the...
Kevin Butler was in the movie "Bad Teacher". I saw it this weekend. Pretty funny.

It's legit. Thankfully none of my stuff was leaked, but I typed in a friend's email and it was leaked.
This just gave me way more respect for the Uncharted series. I'm thankful to be spoiled by good developers..
Sometimes we take everything for granted. Without talent companies like Naughty Dog, games might've still looked like this.
The PS3 isn't a smartphone. It has to run games FIRST. That's the main goal. If Sony breaks that ability people will be furious!
Like I said, most of the PS3 is being used for in game action... there's only a little left for the XMB so there's not much that can be done about that.
Also, how is information about the cell going to affect RAM? It's not about processing power, it's about RAM and there's only a little bit of it left ov...
I think it looks really good. Screw all the negative posts.
That being said... I had forgotten about GTA V before I even saw this video... now I am reminded about GTA V because of this video. This article did the exact opposite that it was intended to do.
Oh really? I might try it then. Thanks for the info dude!
I wish they'd go back and fix the screen tearing on the original so that I can play it to see how great it is.
If Activision failed so much, why do their games break sales records every year?
I think you fail.
It hasn't been only a year. It has been TWO YEARS. You have to remember... each Call of Duty developer gets 2 years to work on their next Call of Duty.
Modern Warfare came out in 2007 by Infinity Ward, World at War came out in 2008 by Treyarch, Modern Warfare 2 came out in 2009 by Infinity Ward, then Black Ops came out in 2010 by Treyarch, Modern Warfare 3 comes out in 2011 and the next Treyarch version should be along in 2012.
Therefore Infinity Ward get...
Forget about updated graphics! Graphics do NOT equal a good game!!!
I'd rather have my 60 frames per second... thank you very much Infinity Ward. Please don't modify your engine. Please.
The day Call of Duty goes down to 30fps, I'll stop playing it because it won't look and feel like a Call of Duty game.
They have a forumla that WORKS so they should keep it. Don't fix what isn't broken is what I say.
I...
I doubt that's possible without breaking some games. With developers using up all the RAM their given (yes, they do use ALL of the RAM they get), Sony only has a limited amount of RAM left for the OS.
They're not compared on TVs. It's a direct feed into the computer, so the images they're capturing are the original output from the consoles. Do you think they're filming a television set? Hah!
Eww... screen tearing. Guess I'm not buying this. Oh well.
I didn't like this game but it's cool that they're getting their high res graphics so that they can show off their expensive video cards el oh el.
I played the beta for a little while last night and I had absolutely no framerate or lag issues (once I finally got into a game of course).
I don't know why people are crying over a beta. Betas are not full-game demos. People think "Hey, this is my chance to try the game out to see if I want to buy it when it comes out"... They're still making tweaks and changes to the game.
I have full confidence in Naughty Dog though. When have they disapp...
