Still felt a bit copy and pasted with none of the war assets making a difference.

Totally worth using a comment bubble :P .
An amazing set of games were shown at Ubisoft's conference.
Can't wait until we see the most of the games get released.
The only thing making MS' conference look good so far is how bad EA's was.
I can't help but feel like the level of DRM used by Blizzard is just a smack in the face to PC gamers.
Until games stop being regarded as 'toys' by the masses kids will always hold the monopoly. With that said, the teenagers have the power to advertise anything through social media; on a scale far greater than any organisaton could even get close to.
Thankfully the last few years are hinting at a shift in power with more games being designed for mature audiences and the mature audiences also being almost as tapped into the social vine as kids are.

If Blizzard hadn't gone DRM mad (mostly to protect their real money auction house) then most players wouldn't have had to endure the terrible start.
The article mentioned WoW servers having issues as some kind of comparison here. But the point missed is that Diablo III is not an MMO. People that want to play single player need an Internet Connection and hope that the Blizzard servers don't have any problems.
'Fanbois' my friend. Lots and lots of Blizzard Fanbois.
Prius, anyone?
I want to be excited. I really do.
The sheer amount of AC games (a game a year on average)has really made me somewhat tired of the franchise.
I can't wait to try this out with my friends. Especially if the 'love letter' that was sent out to PC Gamers holds true and results in a much more stable game than the first.
PC Gaming has almost completely phased out used-game sales with Steam etc.
It was done in more of a subtle way though.
As do I. The whole thing is DRM gone mad.
I like the idea, it's actually one of the few decisions being made lately which actually benefits gamers.
If you like the multiplayer but aren't so fond of the single player experience then you don't need to pay extra and vise versa.
Maybe the next CoD (or seventy of them the way they get released..) can make use of this idea.
Certainly a nice change of pace from all the hate going around.
The writer did understand and mention that if the theory holds true then everything after being hit by Harbinger's beam was an illusion.
Maybe read it all before commenting?
You missed the point of what I was saying completely. A bad demo of a good game hurts good developers. A 'good' demo of a bad game makes people waste money that would be of better use with a game that actually deserves it.
The loss of good developers through no sales results in the consumers getting lower quality content. So yeah, not just a double edged sword for developers.
I generally agree that demos are a good thing. It gives a glimpse at what the games are like and whether someone will enjoy them.
They can also be a bit of a double edged sword. Some games, especially RPG's just don't usually work as a demo. Other times when bad demo choices are made, i.e. putting the demo at the start of a game where there is hardly anything of interest can really hurt a games sales. There are also some game demos that show just about the only good p...
Some diverse opinions on the ending of Mass Effect 3.
So long as Uwe Boll stays away from these, they could work.
