This is basically non-existent in the U.K. A similar thing happens after Christmas with a crap load of stock clearance.
The CoD franchise has its downfalls, that’s for certain, but I can’t think of a perfect game out there. I’ve always liked the Halo franchise, at least the campaign but never truly loved the multiplayer experience.
Games such as CoD or Battlefield always had me hooked with Multiplayer. Maybe I just prefer more ‘realistic’ shooters, or, perhaps I just get tired of people constantly jumping and spamming grenades.
For such a simple game its proven to be quite fun.
Good read and full of some interesting points.
I've been loving this game so the bugs have barely distracted me in most cases. It still wouldn't hurt to see some faster progress on fixing them.
Who really wants to stand around waving their arms at a T.V? Casual games using motion control and even attempts at hardcore games using it are usually mediocre at best. I'm not prepared to spend money on what I see as the Wii 2.0.
I lost touch with the Pokemon franchise, my only memory dates back as far as the original series, or at least what I believed to be the original.
I've never tried the DJ Hero franchise, mostly due to the songs not being a genre I actually like.
Nice editorial. I still doubt I'll ever be interested in creations aimed at more casual gamers. Then again, if it evolves then who knows.
Need for Speed Pro Street ruined the franchise for me... I just like the cop chases :p .
I gave the game such a high score in spite of its flaws since I knew there would be a lot of initial bugs, a game so huge there is just so much that needs to be checked that there are bound to be mistakes.
Its a leap of faith that Obsidian will fix the major issues soon and then work on refining the smaller problems later.
I've been having a blast with this game, there's just so much to do that it almost seems endless.
Quickscopers, the good ones at least, use single shot rifles such as the Intervention because it can kill in one shot. Grenade Launchers only need to be fired in the general area of a target and has the potential to kill multiple people; I bet Treyarch isn't banning that.
And quickly scoping in and attacking a moving target with a single shot weapon is Muuuch worse than running around spraying with an SMG or camping in a corner.
Don't even get me started on painkiller and noob tubes...
Treyarch, the people who put the MP40 super spray gun in World at War sees Quickscoping as being 'cheap'... I Lol'd.
Snipers shouldn't kill in one hit? You go take a .50 Cal bullet in the skull, see if you still feel the same way.
The aim assist on consoles is so incredibly minor that most people don't even notice it. If anything using a mouse to aim is much easier than using a controller.
Quickscoping is basically just removing the camping part from being a sniper. Reflexes as opposed to watching one spot for more or less an entire game...
Good luck to the Zeldathon team.
A lot of the comments follow the 'monkey see monkey do' mentality. o_o
"What do out troops need?" "More effective gear that could help save their lives?" "Nah.. some video games."
Still good to see a morale booster.
