Why exactly is this on N4G?
I'd approve this, but I'm "new" here (finally decided to stop lurking and make an account).
If you're playing Dark Souls for the graphics, you're doing it wrong.

I beg to differ. Microsoft /was/ ready to launch in 2013, but everyone demanded they alter their polices, resulting in a complete OS/UI overhaul… And considering what they launched with only 6 months later? More than a job well done!
You try reworking an entire operating system in 6 months and have better results.

Staten has been a key creative force behind some of gaming's most iconic and celebrated franchises including Myth 2, Oni and virtually every Halo game leading up to Halo: Reach. Most recently, he spent the last four years working as a writer and creative director on the highly anticipated Destiny.
This was tweeted day before yesterday, and was first discovered via interviews and statements sent to Polygon here: http://www.polygon.com/2014...
Okay, I post this 21 hrs ago and it's flagged as both "old news" and a "duplicate story" and it gets deleted… But you post this 7hrs ago and it's the best thing ever?? Okay, cool story.

Not gonna lie, I made that mistake several times while writing the article. XD
Guess MS wasn't kidding around when they said they were refreshing their interest in exclusive IP. And can you blame them? Their first-party lineup has been… "lackluster" over the past few years…
I mean, we've gotten Halo and Gears, bit that's about it. And compared to what Sony has pushing out? Xbox HAD to step up its first-party game. (and that's coming from a HUGE Halo fan)
With Joseph as lead Creative Director, this will definite...
Of all the developers to join Microsoft, this has to be one of the best I could've imagined!
When he left Bungie back in Sep, I was quite disheartened… But with this being the result? I couldn't be more excited! This is the guy who inspired me to go in to game design (or at least dream of being a game designer) so for him to become Senior Creative Director of MGS? That only means good things going forward.
Bungie/Destiny has some of the greatest minds...
Really looking forward to this! By the time that L4D came out, I was just so done with zombies… But sci-fi? Yeah, I'm all about it! Gonna be a blast when it releases.
Same for me, only I'm excited to see what Xbox One has in store.
Either way, both will be amazing.
The only issue is, what really would you switch to? It'd be more like simply going without. :/ All the content creators are already on youtube, so for us to stiff Youtube, we'd also be stiffing ourselves.
*sticky white stuff ahead*
The Xbox One hardly needs a trend of recovery. It's doing more than fine in its "broken" [as you seem to think] state.
Awww yeah!!! Now I can put my 360kb/s connection to work!!
(god I hate my ISP's geographical monopoly)
If you're going to talk about install base, wouldn't you also need to assume that some of Valve's existent install base will simply stick to their beefed-out gaming rigs? Why would/should they purchase an entirely new "console" when they can stick with the "Steam Machine" that they already have?
And if their reasoning is because of Steam OS, then they can simply install that on their existing rig.
The idea behind the Steam Mac...
Brute Shot = yes
Brutes in MP = no (Elites can come back as long as they aren't retarded like in SWAT on Halo 3)
