Wow… You do know what alpha/beta tests are for right? And it's just that - they're tests. It wasn't a demo, it wasn't a sneak peak, it was a backend infrastructure test, nothing more.

OT: This is the alpha, not the finished product. Expect final version to look better. And even if it doesn't? Not gonna bother me [too much]… Having been one of the lucky few to partake in the alpha, I can say that these images are a poor representation of the game. (In the same way a still of an action movie is a bad representation of said movie.)
They only shut down the Halo 2 servers last year… So I'd say that Titanfall is going to be fine.
