I have yet to play Infinite, so my opinion isn't fully formed, but from what I've played I don't see what the big deal is with the franchise. I really liked the Big Sisters of 2, but its multiplayer was garbage.
And to use @JustPlay4's quote as a stepping stone: Is a man not entitled to his opinion? "No!" says the commenters of N4G, "I'm the only one who knows what games are actually the best." "No!" ...
Need to die? lol No. Sure, maybe one or two of them are in dire need of a reboot and/or "reimagining"… But killing off entirely? That's just dumb - especially when you consider who all is on this list.

The Old Snake inclusion is nice - it brings the comical aspect of the article to life (quite brilliantly might I add) - but the headline alone is begging for a militant feminist to parade onto Fox...
Not so sure if you can really use Halo: CE as a reasonable example of a modern cliché… I mean, it's 13 years old - that's older than a large number of people who will probably be reading this comment. If you have to go that far back to find an example of a cliché, you should probably look for it in an alternate source.

It's a shame… But honestly, it seems like XO's original policies would've acted in these guys' favor rather than drive them away (which it seems to have done)… Granted, they probably won't be shipping a retail copy of Rime, so the used games thing wouldn't've been an issue, but perhaps they didn't like the idea of "Families" being able to share everything with each other?

It's because that's my preferred platform. Resolution? While a notable feature to some, it's not where I choose to spend my time and energy focusing. Also, I'm quite the achievement whore, so if it's available on an Xbox platform, that's the platform I'll be getting it for.
Nintendo's/Sony's consoles are solely for their exclusives. Xbox is where I spend the majority of my time.

I could live with more Titanfall and less BioShock. The best of the series (IMO) was the second one, which everyone else seemed to hate.
I like the competitive multiplayer of Titanfall and games like it, and while the BioShock titles have their place in every library, those success stories are few and far between. We'd probably end up seeing more F.E.A.R.s (even though it wasn't /that/ bad) if it wasn't for the "cash" OP is talking about.
Hopefully my participation in X360 dashboard betas will assist in the [assumed] random selection. :D
Won't be a huge miss if not though. The amount of time I spend on the "dashboard" is slim to none.

Titanfall is kcufing amazing, but they're going up against Bungie, so I doubt it'll be met with SOTY status.
Heretic and Hexen were better. It's a shame they were overshadowed. :(
@Raccoon, everything you just mentioned (excluding the price/power) is debatable. IMO, Microsoft has an infinitely better/"smoother" OS, much better first-part studios, and less crapware.

When it was branded FFXIIIvs, it was also branded a PS3 exclusive. Similarly to the FFX/FFX2 HD remakes. They're "exclusive" without being owned by Sony.
Idk about how well it would sell. Same goes for it on Xbox One. If Square wanted it to sell on Xbox plats, they probably should release the KH1&2 HD remakes on an Xbox platform. Idk about you, but I don't normally jump in on the 3rd installment of a franchise without having played the first two.
