You're right. The majority of us have never been to and/or studied anything about China beyond the basic public school requirements.
I however have both studied for 4 years and have visited/studied in China (specifically Beijing and Henan). And while I'm no expert, these are the kinds of adds that appeal Chinese consumers (at least to announce the initial product).

Dark Souls righted all of Demon Souls mistakes... which wasn't a lot, but there were some.
DS1 is still an almost perfect game that sucked me in. I've yet to finish DS2, and it really saddens that I haven't been sucked in.

The majority of devs I've seen say that the eSRAM is the issue are the guys coming from the outside. Mostly the NaughtyDog guys - who have absolutely nothing to do with the XO's custom hardware.
Sure, maybe they know something about eSRAM in general - maybe even from personal experience - but they have no clue what they're talking about regarding using it on the XO, so they need to keep their mouthes shut.

Well, with the resources (or lack there of), the game would probably be exclusive anyway. If it wasn't, it'd be XO/PC, simply because porting between the two is (apparently) incredibly easy.

As an aspiring indie dev, the false news of this plan's cancelation got me very sad face. ^ _ ^ Glad Microsoft is still supporting this goal. It's arguably one of the best features MS has offered with the Xbox One. Can't wait to see what it brings to the console!
There are multiple people who we /can/ believe, but the ones we should refrain from trusting are the Sony-exclusive naysayers. (Naughty Dog devs seem to be pretty bad about this.)

They already have 3 exclusive Visual Novels at launch - which are a big f**king deal in Japan - as well as Scalebound and the support of over 70 japanese developers.
:D Can't wait to see what else MS has in stock for Japan this time around. No doubt they'll take up the third place spot, but it's going to be a much larger chunk than it was last time around (just like the X360 was to the OG Xbox).
I think Smartglass could still use some work (at least on Windows Phone... Idk what other platforms are like.), but other than that I definitely agree!
Not to mention the monthly XO updates. Snappable Achievements? Hell yeah!
They will. These new SDKs and general developer understanding are already rendering parity between the consoles. #Destiny (And we're only like 7 months into the generation.)
