Why on earth would Capcom give Sony all the media and trailers to let the PSN users download and watch, only to turn around and shrug all the money they would make from a multiple console release, including the gamers on PS3 that are hyped for this title? Capcom (this gen, anyway) is a multiplatform developer, so I highly doubt any sum of money from MS is going to sway their biggest game of the year away from potential sales on another system.
Then again, i'm not a CEO so i'm not...
It was a little unnecessary of me to say that. But on the other hand, I know you folks see the constant trolling he used to do. That doesn't make it any better, but just know there is another side to his commentary.
@ LastDance:
You are right. Sometimes I think some of us spend too much time on this website (or the internet) that I really believe there are those who would take it to the physical realm.
Sure is a lot of negativity directed towards fellow gamers on this website who just want to be excited about their games, isn't there? I suppose that was a little harsh, but 1stKnight really does act like a big troll whenever he can get the chance. I'm sure there will be others who would jump on the opportunity to do just that.
They released Raiden III in the arcades, as well as the PS2 and on the PC (!). I am not surprised that they have gone with the next-gen console route. If exclusivity is confirmed, which we actually need to see confirmation, or have someone who can read Japanese verify this, it is yet another good game in the 360's lineup that we can count on. On the other hand, this game came from a lineage that has long been forgotten about by all but the most faithful arcade shooter fans. I am doubting that...
Edit:
Okay, I guess that was a little excessive. I will exercise restraint and edit this for civility reasons. I still stand behind my beliefs, however...
Making one stupid decision after another. Don't they get tired of depriving European gamers of, well... games?
Bladestar never ceases to amaze me. He tries so hard to act like he has an objective viewpoint on both Sony and Microsoft, but no matter how hard he tries to front, everyone knows he will still end up spinning stories and opinions to kingdom come when they have to do with Microsoft.
This whole "online gaming fixation" really sucks, because there are so many developers who can't focus on one or the other (SP & MP respectively) because they are worried their game will be criticized for lack of multiplayer options. Then they add in a half-baked online option and it doesn't matter because it's just a knock off of every other multiplayer mode in every other game before it. But because the game has online, in the eyes of many people it automatically makes it bett...
He got so worked up and upset that he caused his comment to get deleted... haha
lol @ XGamer calling people "Biased Fanboys". Look in the mirror, pal!
Final Fantasy X is still my favorite, though VII will always hold a place in my heart as being the first one I played. Let's hope all this hype and mystery turns out to reveal a good game...
Come this November, i'll be one of the lucky gamers to play BOTH games. What a concept, eh? Bashing a game when you're not going to play it is one thing... at least give these games a try before you guys talk sh1t.
Preposterous! At least the PS3 laptop can play blu-ray movies.
It's good for throwing when I get frustrated, and also for when friends come over. Otherwise I use my Dual Shock 3 for most other gaming by myself.
He needs to be IP banned from posting, or someone needs to go to his house and smash his computer with a baseball bat. I thought multiple accounts were against the N4G TOS? Maybe the mods let him slide so we can all insult his stupidity? The world may never know...
I think that Sony should have supplied more bundle units to stores, because those things sold like hotcakes and every retailer is currently out of stock.
The Syphon filter games have always been a really fun (yet slightly flawed) experience. I remember the first time I played the demo of Syphon Filter 1 back in the days of the Official US Playstation Magazine, and was instantly hooked when I shot someone with the taser and caught them on fire. Even though I love Metal Gear Solid, the Syphon Filter games will always have a place in my memory bank.
Great post. I think people should just play the best games on each console that they feel they can get the most enjoyment out of. There is so much bickering nowadays it makes me wonder if people even play games at all, or if they just sit on websites and complain about the games and systems other people are playing.
Let's not get carried away, shall we?
