I think if MS were doing the same thing that Sony is doing in terms of anticipated system updates, and the exact same number of people tried to d/l it from MS' servers, I think they'd have a hard time balancing the load as well.
1. Cross-Game voice chat. I know many people who would rather chat it up than sit and type, especially because most of them don't have an extra mouse and keyboard set lying around and when you are in a game it's rather annoying to have to type a message with your controller.
2. In-Game music that works with every game, and not just patched titles. At the very least, I hope a lot more developers start enabling custom soundtracks in their games until a unified approach is found. <...
Fighting games just work so much better on the PS3, and it's not just because of the D-Pad (though that's a pretty big plus).
