The nice (and unfortunate at the same time) thing about firmware updates is there are always features that we don't always know about until we mess around with the system a bit.
This is how the technology industry works. Companies borrow ideas from other companies, but change them around just enough to make them fresh. Just as long as it brings something innovative or useful to the market, then there shouldn't be a problem.
I was reading that developers have to have it enabled. I could be wrong, however, so don't quote me here.
Anyway, this 2.4 update is going to be awesome!
At least comment on things that are relevant to your gaming preference. You sure like to visit PS3 threads despite hating on the system and its games so much.

Huge PS3 fan my ass - more like huge idiot fanboy! Please don't sully the term "PS3" by trying to use it in a sentence, as I know you already struggle enough to form cohesive statements on your own.
If you get a bonus every time you complete a game 100 percent (or whatever a platinum trophy equates to), it will entice more gamers into playing a game all the way through, instead of playing it a little bit and then putting it down or soley concentrating on multiplayer.
It will get more people to experience what developers worked hard to convey to gamers.
Telling him that he needs to learn to spell when you replaced the word "to" with the number "2" is rather ironic, don't you think?
Now it's up to the developers, and more importantly SONY to make sure they are implemented well; even more so, that they are actually put in games at all with future releases. What I am saying is that I hope developers give equal attention to trophy support as they do for achievements, because without the support this system (while really cool) is rendered ineffective and useless.
It never gets old no matter how many times I play it...
I actually found my battlechest at a Goodwill thrift store for 10 dollars in near mint condition.
This will be a great E3 this year because all the companies have major things they will want to show us.
edit: did anyone notice at the end of the trailer how the stuff from the teaser is now at night, instead of during the day/early evening?
This video takes forever to load...
edit: despite not showing any game footage, that was a pretty cool trailer. Plus it looks good for using in-game assets.
Everything else is pretty dead-on accurate, however.
If it tanks, i'm going to be sad for Silicon Knights because they brought me the once-proud series of Legacy of Kain which is one of my favorites of all time. I will wait to see what reviews say about this game before I attempt a purchase.
On PC, an OPEN, FREE GAMING NETWORK, Diablo costs NOTHING to play over Battle.net. What makes you think that Blizzard would go from that, to making its console players pay 50 dollars a year to play Diablo 3 on the 360, when people could play it on PS3 which also an OPEN, FREE GAMING NETWORK? Not to mention the fact that PS3 easily supports USB mouse and keyboard, putting the console players on an even field with PC players as far as playability goes.
Just a minor detail I think s...
I think trophies are tied to your profile and your system
I would imagine that if it were possible, people would try to swap saves just to bump their score and not actually play the games.
You can transfer your game save between other PS3 systems, therefore enabling other players to take advantage of your unlocked trophies. By making you start over in a game, it will become harder for those lazy people out there to get trophies without actually trying to earn them themselves.
You can use your level to compare your performance against other players, and see which trophies you need to unlock to reach or surpass their gamer level. I'm glad someone around here knows what's up...
I'll never understand it...
Of course games need to be patched because the trophy support was never originally here when the PS3 launched. Besides, it will give us a reason to go back and play through the games that we have beaten, or start over on the games that we haven't played in a while. I would treat it the exact same way if it was like this on the 360, but since it isn't people use that as a reference point, which makes sense.
I don't understand this mentality that Gears of War is the most original game ever made, and suddenly because it sells a ton that the ideas used in the game some how originate in Gears.
You have obviously never played WinBack or Kill.Switch because the run-gun-and-cover play mechanic has been used long before Epic decided to use it in their game. Original character designs, huh? Just like the steriod-fueled meathead main characters in Gears of War, also carried over to Unreal Tou...
