BTW, since we're all speculating anyway, did it ever occur to anyone that there will be multiple versions of the console? MS already showed an interest in doing a subscription based version of 360. Maybe the always on feature is limited to people who opt for the 99 dollar console but have to agree to a 2 year Live subscription.

If the PC version is capable of 1080p 60fps, then why wouldn't they do the same thing for console? Cuz the consoles can't handle it.

The TV show is NOT brilliant and you ALWAYS know who is next to die.

If you already shelled out hundreds of dollars on a great graphics card for your top-end computer, why would you waste 300 dollars on a piece of hardware you'll hardly ever use?

The sweet spot for a rig that will last is closer to 1300-1500.
and even that PC will show it's age after 4 or 5 years.
i still think it's totally worth it though. running games like crysis 3 and wither 2 on max settings is glorious! if the "next gen" consoles manage to look as good as crysis 3, i'd be surprised.
man do i hate the expression "hardcore."
i'm probably more "hardcore" into gaming than 90% of this community. to me, that means competitive multiplayer. i spend probably 60% of my time on pc, 30% on 360, and the last 10% on ps3 and vita. sony just offers me nothing in terms of hardcore-ness. killzone, uncharted, resistance MP...they're a joke. they are casual single player experiences that you are done with in 7 hours.

The article sites the RRoD as one of the reasons they are waiting. Why is Xbox now held back cuz of that but nobody said this about the ps3's launch after the massive failure rate of the PS2. Such hypocrisy.
Personally, i'll be buying several of each at launch. Plenty of people out there too stupid to preorder.
