This game could have benefitted from combat or interesting puzzles or anything besides just carrying packages and making sure you don't fall over. What's an interesting story if the gameplay is boring? Kojima is overrated. Metal gear 5 was a terrible metal gear solid game and he transferred the bad base and inventory management stuff into death stranding which was a mistake. It's an open world postman sim in Iceland with trippy but nonseniscal cutscenes and a soundtrack that is hi...
Agree with you a thousand percent. Just because people want this game to be flawless doesn't mean it is. Kojima got way too carried away with inventory and base management in mgs5 and he brought those trash mechanics into death stranding. The graphics and world are cool but the gameplay is hollow and the story is nonsensical which does not mean its art. There are a million unnecessary results screens to skip through after each mission, most of the gameplay is just walking and trying not ...
Look its Neonridr who defends EVERY SINGLE nintendo decision, game, product, etc. no matter what. You love your switch, we get it. That does not mean Nintendo does everything perfectly which you try to prove ad nauseum in every comment section on n4g. This mass reduction of pokemon being rationalized by comparing it to the first game in the series which was a gameboy game in 1996 is outrageous. Foxtrot is right that if any other game company did this and it wasn't a Nintendo exclusive the...
The inventory and base management were the WORST aspects of MGS 5, I can't believe he brought those elements back and made them the focus of the game. Ugh, yeah he's a genius all right.
Right, because a critic only "does their job fine" if they give the game high scores? What a joke. If this wasn't a kojima game then people wouldn't be rabidly defending it like this. It was overhyped, the gameplay is pedestrian and kojima lost his touch years back anyway. Metal gear 5 was a poor excuse for a metal gear solid game and mgs 4 was riddled with terrible dialogue and unnecessary scenes. (Sunny cooking eggs repeatedly, otacons crush on naomi, Johnny, the wedding, ...
Such pandering, such a joke. A female general and a female resistance leader in the middle east are both shown in the first few minutes of the game. We get it activision. Is the author of this article serious? The women in the cutscenes are the BEST part of the entire campaign? These kinds of articles and the sjw agenda are ruining gaming and movies. Just make quality entertainment with good characters, stop focusing on garbage like whether or not the sidekick in beauty and the beast is gay o...
As long as its not 7 gigs or less like No man's sky was then there isn't a problem. Really looking forward to this game.
Lots of interesting info in this article.I played Reservoir Dogs when it first came out, it was flawed but had some really good levels and shootouts. Like a good B action movie video game.
Can't wait, Gungrave on PS2 was one of my favorites
Wildlands had an extremely generic and throwaway story (like all recent ubsioft games) so we'll see. They hyped up the first wildlands' story too so I'm not convinced. The last ubisoft game with a good story was Splinter Cell Conviction
Haha appreciate the reply, what you said makes a lot of sense. It's just damn even for a middle school graduate that's poor writing.
So many PlayStation apologists and fanboys on here. Drive Club was TERRIBLE. Got it the day it launched, it had countless bugs and problems with the online and the progression system. Also had a bad soundtrack, mediocre levels and okay driving mechanics that just weren't that fun. If it was so amazing it wouldn't have flopped and caused the developer to shut down.
"Hitman raises his head" What a terrible and poorly written title for an article.
Yeah it's a wonder that people still make excuses for this game when its simplistic, boring trash that was completely misrepresented by the countless lies hello games told. And now that's okay because of patches even though they charged $60 at launch and took years to fix anything. Lying to consumers about content is not the same as releasing a buggy game and then patching it. (No mans sky was like 6 gigabytes total at launch). And yet people on here still want to buy them billboards ...
So tired of these articles about Sony sending some free $10 PSN code or whatever to "random fans". I've NEVER seen someone comment that they actually got one of these emails. Never.
Always wanted to see a remaster or remake of Sunshine and I know I'm not alone. Would be really great if this is more than just a rumor this time.
Watchdogs 2 had a great open world and good graphics but the story and tone were garbage. The "changes" ubisoft made were an overreaction to people who criticized watchdogs 1 and they ruined the game. I'm glad to hear that Legion isn't repeating the same awful mistakes.
This game represents one of the worst problems with next gen games, developers release something broken, unpolished and incomplete at full retail price and then just work on patches and updates that add or improve things that should have been done at launch. Why should they get praise for making good on their promise to consumers? What's even more sad is it took hello games 2 or 3 years
Um it's literally NOTHING like escape from NY. Nothing. Setting, characters, tone, aesthetics. What are you on? Product placement is garbage, to defend it shows what a joke Sony fanboys are. Just blow kojima why don't you?
