You're 100 percent right. It's ridiculous to include a mediocre game that sold poorly on a top 3 list of games that "defined" the generation. Defined it for who? This one writer? Especially when he couldn't even be bothered to explain WHY a huge letdown like Control should be on any "best of" list when it failed commercially and underwhelmed critically.

I'm interested in the Alan Wake expansion but the story for the main game was garbage. Poorly written, incredibly dry monologues from characters just explaining the world and the horribly convoluted story. No memorable characters whatsoever. Remedy has really fallen far since Max Payne 1 and 2 and Alan Wake. Maybe they can redeem themselves with the expansion.

Arkham knight was extremely mediocre compared to Asylum and Arkham City. The batmobile/tank thing was way overdone and pretty unnecessary. I wonder why it was so much worse, a key person from the first two games must have left.
Origins wasn't even interesting enough to finish, makes sense it was from another developer. Was the multiplayer garbage too? Seems like that was a waste of time and resources since I've never heard anyone talk about it.

Notice how I didn't say anything about Abby, I liked her. And instead of responding to what I said with anything intelligent you just talk about how its going win game of the year. Yeah okay, and it should, but characters like Bill and Marlena from the first game were still more interesting than Manny or Lev or Mel.
That makes a lot more sense, it just would have been cool if she talked more instead of always whispering "oh whats this?what's that?" We get it she grew up sheltered and isolated but it doesn't tell you anything else about her personality and I just didn't find her that interesting as a result.

Both of those characters and almost all of the new secondary characters were unfortunately pretty forgettable and underwritten. Everyone you met in the first last of us was more interesting. Manny, Mel, Lev, Deena and Yara were all really bland and I didn't care about any of them. Owen and Jesse were okay but that's about it.

If you're trying to say they'd do a good job making a sequel now I'm saying they wouldn't. Clearly the team that made Halo 1-3 is long gone. The Destiny series sucks and has none of the gameplay or story elements that made the Bungie Halos great
Bungie became awful too and who knows how many people from the original Halo team are even left. Destiny is simplistic and a step down from Halo in every single way. Bad music, bad story, no aerial vehicles, grindy gameplay and bland levels.
343 has single handedly ruined the Halo franchise. Halo 5 was forgettable garbage and it was rated T. It didn't even have split screen. Halo 4 was okay but nothing special and the story was trash in that one too.
Infinite could've been the truly next gen sequel the franchise needed. Imagine going to the covenant home world and going to war in their cities with incredible graphics. They just reashed Halo 1 with worse graphics, such a waste.
Blacklist was great, the only thing it was missing was Michael Ironside. Also it looks excellent on the One X

Couldn't agree more. Hellblade has great graphics and an interesting concept but the gameplay was tedious, the campaign was too linear and the puzzles were awful. The combat was disappointing after Enslaved and the DMC reboot.
Couldn't agree more, we need a next gen Tenchu and that was just another demons souls clone gameplay wise.
You're beyond naïve if you think anything other than sales was the real reason they made that commercial. Selling the idea is worthless, all that matters is how many computers are sold as a result. I'm sure the Apple marketing execs were all sitting around saying "as long as they get the idea!"
