Gamepass really is an incredible deal, it's the best/cheapest way to try new games and it just got even better. Now watch sony fanboys continue to downplay bethesda games (which before they loved), and act like psnow streaming is actually competition when its an antequated joke with a terrible selection of games. There are already articles trying to rationalize paying $70 for games that you can now play day one with a subscription. Yeah keep trying to spin it, it's really working.

There are enough generic indie games out there and those are always the ones given for free anyway on ps now and gamepass etc. Maybe small indie titles would be great for psnow since its only a streaming service

I wouldn't have tried this if it wasn't on gamepass and I'm really glad I did, it's great. It's just like a classic 90s PC strategy game. Reminds me of fallout 1 and 2. It even has a co op campaign!
What a disappointment, they hyped it up so much. When the most interesting thing about a new IP is its connection to another game then you know you have a problem.
Control is a truly mediocre game. Why did they even bother with quantum break and control? Everyone wanted Alan wake 2 and they chose to ignore their fanbase and then they just end up making Alan wake DLC anyway?
This game was already a commercial flop because of the terrible writing, bland office building location and tedious backtracking. Now they're alienating the few fans they actually had with this awful "upgrade" strategy.
Instead of trying that trash TV series within Quantum break (which had abysmal writing also) they shouldve just made Alan Wake 2 years ago. 90% of Control's story was delivered by sitting at a table in a confrence room and listening to endl...

No, it has nothing to with "hipsters". Marvel and Disney have oversaturated the market with generic, awful superhero movies and stories. They apply their "global" box office/a.k.a. appeal to China strategy of dumbing movies down so they translate easily to foreign audiences. That's why the stories are mostly simplistic trash and everyone just makes jokes all the time. They tried to use the same model for Star Wars and destroyed the franchise.

You're joking right? How could TLOU2 have microtransactions it's a single player game. Last of Us 1 had microtransactions in the multiplayer and so did uncharted 3 and 4. You could spend money on garbage like hats ffs. You don't know what you're talking about.
Quantum Break was Remedy's first truly mediocre game and Control was even worse. Even the writing in Control was garbage and that was always Remedy's strong suit so they're definitely on the decline. This awful business decision just takes their reputation down even further.
The story in fallout 4 is garbage. Obsidian made the only fallout with a decent story since fallout 3, new vegas, so they'll be fine. The only reason the outer worlds even exists is because Bethesda couldn't figure out how to make a good fallout sequel.
