I love my Xbox. I've also not talked to any one online or in person that says any different (minus the Sony fanboys, like the first post on this article). Now I'm not saying everyone loves it, but its great.

Most people don't have such a ridicules overreaction like you. In fact most don't care. You should buy an X1 not for one game, but for all the amazing exclusives. And a controller you don't have to plug in every other play session.
No I know you don't like the exclusives MS is coming out with cause their junk. And only Sony knows how to release good games. I hope you feel that way so you and those like you NEVER ge...
No one game should make you get ANY console (though I did buy a PS3 for Metal gear, but played all the exclusives).
If you get an X1 it should be for ALL the amazing exclusives, same as the PS4. And for those that say the X1 has no great exclusives. Delete your account, shut off your computer, and throw it off your roof, because you bring nothing to the table.
Are you shocked from the reaction in this comment section? It doesn't matter what MS does, someone will spin it and this site will figure out a way to make it bad, and anti consumer.
OT: If its not running on those X1's in front (which as far as we know the game is running on those boxes) its most likely the case they are used to show what console the game they are playing is going to be on. Its advertising.

The answer to your question that no one seems willing to answer is that if Sony were to take say Fable, or Gears. The Sony fanboys above would be claiming the downfall of the X1 and praise the PS4 and call it the greatest move in videogame history ETC ETC.
My favorite part is all the Sony fans who only get pissed when its MS doing the buying. Guess what guys Sony does it too. They have many more first party studios and yet need to buy 3rd party games. Its business.

Making a profit on the console and paying back the R&D budget are two very different things.
To make a profit on each console all that is for manufacturing costs to be less than the selling price. MS makes money on each console sold as well.
It takes years to recover R&D costs. Plus according to an article I read the cost is levied against the company the year the console launched. So it incurred a huge amount of debt on day one. I'm sure Sony is no different.
I love all the "anti consumer" crap I hear about companies. Guess what the ones that aren't here to make money can't be around. They thought it was the direction the business was headed (which it is). All digital that is the future they saw, and wouldn't you know it even this early in this gen we are already seeing a huge move to digital. The X1 controller is the nicest I've ever used. So that's a nice deal.

Last gen MS took so much market share not because of the year head start or the cheaper price (which was only cheaper fro a year) but because they brought a pure vision to the table. Amazing online service, exclusives, controller, and XBLA. Everyone (well Sony fanboys) are giving so much props to Sony over indies when from day one MS was bringing amazing downloadable experiences through XBLA.
