Umm.... America is not equal to the world..... Asia probably has a larger market for PCs due to the whole E-sports scene. Heck US population is half of India and China.
What's abusing in this?.... There are 100 million Steam users, and there are like thousands of games...... This is not even surprising..... I thought it would be much more. I myself have refunded games and with asset flips on Steam being quite a few, I would say 70k is pretty less
Ehh...... CoD sells the best, and it's a mediocre game. A good, deep, immersive 'game' will sell much less than a movie like game that wants to appeal to the masses outside the gaming sphere.
Anything between 1-10 will be good enough as long as I enjoy it. If it's anything like how Looking Glass did Thief, it's gonna be high in my record. A game that demands thought and is always about "player world interaction" will always a good game in my book. Let's see.
Of course.... Half Life 3's announcement will probably break the internet. Half Life 1 and 2 were pioneers in terms of interactive story telling, level design, creating a level of tension and atmosphere and physics based gameplay which is yet to be achieved by any game.
I do know that, but the sad part is that there is an unknown time gap between when he will make his next game. I am highly anticipating whatever he makes next for PC/consoles. Even before announcement one of my most anticipated games is going to be one that he'll be making in the future, whenever it happens.
LMAO WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah ahaha
Pretty sure you didn't play the game on PC..... Even having a GTX 1070, the game ran at 45 fps with medium settings on 4k. I played the game on 1440p 80 fps almost ultra without issues. I just stopped playing the game because of the idiotic dialogues and grindy combat. Honestly everything was bearable till the below dialogue:

As a person who recently bought a PS4 and already has a good PC, I will say that they have a library worth owning the console for. From Resogun to Bloodborne to Persona 5 to NIOH. I played Gears4 on Windows 10(Which is supposedly Xbox's best action exclusive, not into racing games) and I was like bleh..... Sony doesn't have all the exclusives, but it has the exclusives that matter to me as an individual. And the rest of the exclusives like CSGO, Dawn of War (And the whole RTS genre) I...
@ Rangerman
Even I agree with Jim most of the time (Emphasizing on most of the time), but in recent times Watch Dogs 2 (9) and Horizon Zero Dawn (9.5) are two games I don't agree with him on. Jim and Yahtzee are what I consider proper game critics, who mostly speak their mind and honestly I want to be like them.
@ Razzer
I hope you get the answer through this comment.
@Ninsigma
Yes I was the one according to you "riling up PS4 fans", ...
So I wanted to reply to all the comments at once to clarify why I judged the game the way I did:
@guyman
I reviewed this game late because I bought a PS4 recently with the Horizon bundle and as I said in the review, it was one of my most anticipated games of 2016. What better time to buy the game with the bundle to have best bang for buck? This along with Nioh and Persona were my most anticipated games on the PS4. When I talk gameplay I take everything that a standard action...
No..... Games merging with movies is basically an interactive medium merging with a non interactive medium. The main appeal of gaming is interactivity and diluting that is what has been done over the past decade. Bring back interactivity than just movie games. Have had enough of these movie games.
My current GOTY is Nier Automata...... It's simply the best undiluted piece of art work I have seen in long time....
All hail Warren Spector ;_;
Please release System Shock 3 fast.... Pleaaaassssseeeeee
Wanna get that level of immersion, agency, mystery and start thinking again while playing video games.... Please....
*Continues to fanboy for the rest of the day*
The thing is- Advanced AI, Player Agency, Emergent Gameplay based narrative had all been achieved by Looking Glass Games in 1990s, heck even games that came later on like Ninja Gaiden had smart AI. Most modern games have dumbed down AI, they are either too stupid to even be a machine or they have perfect aim.
And yes I am with you on that, Uncharted, Gears of War, Tomb Raider are all boring third person shooters with cinematics for stories. I played Nioh recently and oh boi...
While I agree with this sentiment, gameplay innovation should be first and foremost for all games, unlike games that have been devolving and devolving to appeal to the mass media.... Gone are the days when we use to have emergent game design with gameplay dependent narrative.... Now we have linear, third/first person action adventure games where most stories are told through cut scenes.
Gameplay should be the priority, not narrative, unless the narrative is an RPG like Nier...
Precisely the reason an 8 year old game sold 100k units in the first week on PC
I should not like games because of shitty business practices... Hmm.... Sounds pretty good
Exclusivity= Anti Consumer
Yeah, no.... Will wait for the PC version reviews in case it is another botched port.
Ehh.... Have you ever thought about the fact that most physical copies just offer a key code for Steam for which people might as well buy the game from Steam resulting in low sales physically making retailers not sell PC games. Heck it's been 5 years since I went to a mall for buying games, there is a heck lot of junk in there.... Even the physical copies of games that I do buy for PS4 come from Flipkart or Amazon.
