Yay... Another 12 Mass Effect Adromeda's /s
While it is true that there is no clear progress bar, it also adds to a sense of tension. While the confidants' actions indicate whether there will be a level up or not, the character stats don't. Here is a good video on that subject and how not having a progress bar or definitive point system is a good thing for this game:

I am surprised you had to grin...
Yes they are and from what I have played, all are totally worth the time investment.
Yeah... Most games these days look good but play meh.... This game looks meh but plays good unlike many other games this generation.
Yeah, I think so too.
When I had bought Doom, it took long to find one player. Now it's easily full lobiies for 80% of the games. And personally I have put in 7 hours in the last 2 days because of how good Doom's multiplayer is. I hope that more multiplayer games at least stop putting modes behind paywalls. I think Rocket League is the best example of how to keep revenue flowing and keep it pro consumer at the same time.
Guess there is a first time for everything. Though I would have loved if CDPR had done one. Witcher 3 with Ansel looked spectacular.
Well these days all big publishers seem to be doing this. I would not be surprised to see companies like Bethesda doing it. And Activision has already started the move to Battle.net. But yeah it's just a hassle for consumers, though it's also time that Valve got a competitor.
Thing is you are looking at most it from the wrong perspective. I mean your complaints:
First:
"My opinion is that 5 is not a bad game, and indeed, it is the opposite – it’s a very good game. But, it doesn’t have the innocence, the passion, the naivety and freedom and coming-of-age that 4 has. It doesn’t have the compelling characters, the twisting, bending mystery, or the family ties. It has no soul."
You have played just 20 ...
Yakuza Kiwami
Mario Odessey
Can't think of anything else
Who doesn't? It's at the top of my "Please Someone Remake" list.
You do realize that Steam is just a small eco system of PC gaming. People playing exclusively on Origin or LoL or Blizzard or something who probably never touch Steam. Hate to say this, but there are pirates as well, running GTX 1070s. And yeah Steam stats are unreliable.
Good.... I bought it this sale
Hahaha. NO. Don't want more casuals polluting the consumer side of the industry. If someone can't play a game, leave it and move on.
Precisely the reason I am not too into their first party exclusives. Though I do get almost all of their third party exclusives from Nioh to Persona 5 to Yakuza 0 to Resogun and will be getting whatever Atlus puts out next, Matterfall, Yakuza 6 and Kiwami and all other third party exclusives.
Ugly? It looks ugly? Then for you even Persona 5, Ni No Kuni, Zelda, A Hat in Time, Cuphead all must look ugly. Right?
Seriously people these days. There is something known as art style. And anyways, if it has decent gameplay, no one will care except plebs.
Also, pretty graphics is generally equal to shallow gameplay except in rare scenarios.
Personally idc about Metacritic, the best PS4 games this gen are Witcher 3, Persona 5, Nier Automata, Yakuza 0, Nioh.
> Don't need a blueray drive. Tell me one PC game that comes in BlueRay then I'll add it.
> Something known as deals, combos, stock clearances. Got an i5-6500+ mobo combo for extremely cheap. Didn't go for a fancy case, used my old Disk drive which works perfectly since no game comes in anything but DVD format for PC.
> GTX 1070 was about 380$ for me.
You guys forget that there was no mining scene back in October 2016. RX 480s were going for as ...
I already have a PC more powerful than Xbox Scorpio which costed me a total of 800$ (i5-6500 and GTX 1070). So where is triple the price exactly?
Is any game being exclusive a good thing? Just limits potential crowd and criticism, nothing else.
Because
> Bethesda being Bethesda named a game something and was letting Arkane make something else
> Dishonored 2 was a bad port on PC where such a game's core audience lies
> Stupid people called it 'Bioshock in Space'
