@elda
As long as you're really, really ... really loose with the term "RPG". As many "action-rpgs" are.
STALKER2/Silent Hill 2 for me, as per this list. Haven't played enough of Indiana Jones yet to give a real opinion on it, but what I've played has been good.
Another online rant from Chris Reese incoming lol
The Coffee Talk games are good. Wasn't a fan of FIST though.
Played the hell out of Dementium and Moon back in the day. Renegade Kid did some impressive stuff on the DS. Fun fact - Dementium was originally pitched as a Silent Hill title, but Konami didn't pursue it. Ended up being easily one of the best horror/action games on the system.
Out of that group, my vote goes to Metaphor.
My personal favorite is a toss-up Space Marine 2 and Silent Hill 2 remake. Would probably have been STALKER 2 if it came out in a better state, but pretty much holding off until some more patching.
I don't like devs making promises like that. Especially in the free-to-play space. The moment there's a lull in your revenue stream, all your plans can change in an instant.
@MrGame
Sony doesn't seem to be even thinking about a free-to-play relaunch of Conord, which says a lot.
I was burned out after two hours.
Great game. Glad to see they made a solid transition to console.
Playing Sims with a controller is horrible lol
I didn't even bother with a console this generation. 95% of everything released comes to PC or can be emulated at this point. I have a Series S, but that was just a gift and I only really use it when traveling.
The 900 and 2X series was peak Nvidia.
That's what I was thinking. One of the rare day ones for me.
Doom and Little Nightmares 3 are definites for me. Need to see more of Mafia (3 was average at best), and Midnight Walk. I'll probably grab Ghost of Yotei when it comes to PC.
It works pretty well on most of my different testing rigs, honestly. I can't force it with my 970 build, but that's literally just an emulation machine nowadays for the living room.
3 had good gameplay. Terrible writing.
I had a feeling this was going to end up a pretty low-effort re-release. Nightdive are the kings of oldschool remasters.
Well, I mean, Concord peaked around 2000 players on Steam, while Rivals is averaging 250k; even doubling that at peak hours. Concord still needs to be looked at and referenced going forward. The thing was a giant waste of time and resources and lost Sony hundreds of millions.
Metaphor is great. I haven't even tried the first of the FF7 remake. The spectacle fighter mish-mash they've directed FF in just isn't my thing. I really just wanted the original with highly upgraded visuals. I'm not even necessarily against the revisionism they did with the narrative and characters, really. But I just can't be bothered with all the combat lol.
