I'm very worried about where the games industry may be in a few years.
Definitely grabbing this one at some point.
@jznrpg
We'll see how many games hold to that standard when the thing actually releases. Let alone by the end of the generation.
Ah yes. I really, really hate modding. I hate agency over my games and multiple storefronts fighting for my dollar.
Welcome to N4G lol. I haven't come across (as a whole, there are good ones here) a worse group than I have here. It's entertaining though.
@piroh
Everything Playstation is ending up on PC. And "4k/60fps/RT" .... ok lol. Dare to dream.
I'm not too worried about the overall performance of the next system. Switch games already look pretty damn good when you emulate them.
Which is why they charge you just to use your own internet to play online. Consoles already take multiple avenues to make up for that initially low price tag. Well, used to be low price tag. Let's see what next generation looks like if even refreshes are getting dangerously close to the 4 digit mark.
Eh. I'm a big Zelda fan, but this one doesn't interest me lol.
The last 3 games I bought of theirs were AC Syndicate, Division 2 and Immortals Fenyx Rising. They CAN make goods games, but they're coming less and less frequently.
I love RPGs, so I always welcome a great new one. Not expecting that from this.
Hmm.
They may just remain a company after all. They lost a lot of good faith with all this, however.
Wouldn't most existing users have at least a handful of physical games?
lol
Bless your heart.
That's pretty cool, honestly.
They literally just signed a deal with Remedy to help with the development costs of Control 2 ...
This is going to be glorious.
Here's to hoping. I'll be playing on PC, but also tried the Xbox One version, via the Series S (without a Series update) and it looked pretty good and played well. The sequel is using the same engine as the original, and seems to be holding pretty similar to the original's visual fidelity, so I would expect current gen consoles should be able to handle that, if not even the Series S. Though they'll probably opt to 30 for that.
Loved the game. Will definitely double dip for this, as long as they didn't botch the remake. Be waiting for a bit of a sale though.
But, but, but ... you need to pay 2-3 times as much as a console for the same performance /s
