It's using an engine with very advanced technology. Blizzard is being endorsed by AMD to make StarCraft 2 look as best as it can (while still being able to be played on most PCs, of course).

Yeah, these shots do look a little strange, but without a doubt the PC version will look better than the console versions.

I played the game on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 at 1080p.

I didn't really like the console versions of GTA IV, but I might get the PC version. The thought of Free Roam multiplayer with a ton of people sounds really fun. Mods gave San Andreas 128 player multiplayer, so hopefully mods will give GTA IV at least 64 player multiplayer.
Oh, also - 60 frames per second!
The low frame rate of the console versions really annoyed me.

Heavy Rain isn't going to be anything like Shenmue. Shenmue is open-world whereas Heavy Rain is fairly linear progression.

Building your own computer is getting more and more popular due to the extreme cost savings. I configured a PC last week for $600 that could play just about any game--except Crysis, of course--on max settings. I was surprised myself.
