Because they like money and selling systems. Even subscription services have a fee that goes to Sony. Money they wouldn't otherwise be getting.
If MS started bringing their exclusives to Playstation via Game Pass, that would be an additional system seller for Sony.
I've been saying all along with the Activision acquisition that their plan was to use COD as leverage to get Game Pass on Playstation. I still think that is the long game here and it starts with putting other titles on Playstation to make Game Pass more lucrative when it does launch. Wouldn't be surprised if they get Game Pass cloud streaming on Nintendo's console as well.
@ThinkThink, the PC build and Xbox builds are entirely different. They are both on version 1.3 of their builds. The builds are still very different though.
Closest to free is that it's on Game Pass.
Notellin, this is the largest community of circle-jerking gaming fanboys on the Internet. Facts don't matter here.
Microsoft is trying to move on. It's the FTC that keeps bringing these silly cases up against them. Like that ex that just won't accept you don't want to be with them anymore.
It's a valid point, but where does the concern come from? There is no precedent to create a cause for concern. Books, music, movies, TV, have all moved over to primarily digital subscription models and for the most part it's working just fine. Great content is still being created and made available to the masses. So why would anyone expect it to end up differently for games?
Wait, this is a game in another game? If they were going to do that, why didn't they just add it as a mode to Rocket League? This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
@kosic, why wouldn't it be? My Fallout onesie hasn't had any issues since I've gotten it and the quality is well about your typical onesie.
Says now available for PC, then you go to the Steam link (the only PC store link provided in the article) and it says it's coming Dec 22nd. Sooooo, not available for PC yet.
Yea, duvet covers are typically starting at $100 for a decent one, and that's for a twin and just the cover. The fact you can get a king for $75 with pillowcases is a good deal, pending the quality is there. But considering it's polyester, I would keep your quality expectations in check. You can get similar printed polyester duvets for less than this, with the bedding/fill included. Which this one does not.
There are people who love this program, and I'm just sitting here remembering how this program replaced the "Get $10 for pre-ordering Popular Game X." and thinking how MS Rewards program is absolutely horse doo-doo compared to that which it replaced. This program was never good compared to what we had before it.
That's the main goal of a lot of these start ups. Someone with an idea and some know-how aims to make their product large enough to attract a bigger company so they can sellout and make millions. The nice ones give their employees shares along the way so they get a cut of the pie as well.
I'm not defending developers releasing unfinished games, but if your answer is "they should have delayed it", then just "delay" it yourself and wait to play it. No one is being forced to play these games right when they launch. In fact, by doing so you're only supporting that it was released unfinished. Where if you'd wait to play it, the message would be sent to developers that you're not willing to pay for a game until you feel it's complete enough.
@GamingSinceForever, using that theory, the new price of Game Pass Ultimate in Turkey is ₺209.00, or $7.36 USD. Less than half the price you'd pay in the US. So I guess this is just Microsoft correcting as well, right?
Well that Twitter user isn't a professional, so why would you expect a professional comparison?
What is more likely is that they changed it because it was starting to plateau or because they fell so short on meeting the goal last year.
What good is accessing a game you can't even download?
Maybe they should slightly increase the licensing prices of using the engine instead of tacking on a whole new fee that starts an entirely new pricing model. 🤷♂️
I mean, if my company wants to give me a bonus and raise my salary by 50%, I'd get over whatever the hell they wanted me to. 🤷♂️
