A poor choice of words I think. Even if VR didn't work out, smart devices will probably see maximum efficacy on your face, a la Google glass.
That's the only reason I came here.
(From the game, after finding a hidden porn pinup)
"Ooooooohh... ancient Chinese secret."
It was a pretty controversial game. Fun though.
Edit: I was referring to the original, and it had straight FPS gameplay. I haven't played the recent one.
I wouldn't say "king," but it was certainly good.
Quake and the various Half-Life mods were more important.
I do love me some UT99 instagib ctf though.
This isn't some magical ploy by Sony...
When the dollar gets like this it gets reflected in everything.
Think of it this way: ever pick up a book and it says something like $5.99 USD / $7.99 Canada? Be glad the PPP didn't drop even further to produce those kinds of percentages on a $400-$500 item.
I won't complain about it. I knew when I pre-ordered my ps4 back in June that I was getting the best deal in the world in it because of exchange rates.
Also, the random internet issue raised is not a problem here as you can get 80/30MB internet with no bandwidth caps in this province. (Newfoundland)
Next gen isn't where the money is with most of the install base still on 360 and ps3.
People seem to complain that this game is not on ps4, when the real hit to EA is not selling it on ps3.
Titanfall may be a win because of its reception, but I doubt it's a win for its sales.
Battlefield, Fifa, Madden, and Need For Speed will all stomp Titanfall in sales.
I guess you could consider it a win in terms of bringing a new IP to the market. Particularly, one which certainly has sequel-ability.
The problem is scale.
Minecraft looks like poop, but you can make that game crash even a good PC if you want it to.
You start putting hundreds or thousands of active players, vehicles, etc on the screen at once and the hardware demand changes radically.
Google doesn't hide that they want they entire world online. Because of the way Google makes its money, it only makes sense that they push for total population saturation.
Google is also not afraid to take on subsidising to make the long dollar. (Nexus devices) It will eventually be the same with the spread of their internet offerings.
Grew up playing counter strike. By comparison, camping doesn't exist in CoD.
You learn the spots and check them.
Brothers won it in these awards.
Wow. A lot of people painting treyarch in a positive light on here.
I won't do that. To me, they have a history of making bad games. Literally, their first success was their fourth or fifth shot at an already successful franchise.
I do have a soft spot for Die By The Sword though.
You're correct, Potato.
When steam went into beta, myself and my friends hated it.
Their attempt at getting users to try it was by giving updates to Half-Life and its mods. Most importantly, this meant CS 1.4 or 1.5 which contained two new weapons and the shield. This was the first time content was added since the release candidate.
Most people who tried it ended up giving up on it until the official release.
That said, w...
Uncharted is good for not being dark. It's the type of game that revels in cheesy, unrealistic action adventure with some corny characters and lame jokes.
I love all of these things about Uncharted.
I love TLOU for not doing these things.
How does a free OS and a fully functioning PC fail?
Windows will still exist. The absolute worst thing that could happen is you have to pay for a Windows license for your steambox. The consumer runs no major risk in buying a steambox, and the consumer need not buy one anyway as they can just put steamos on their current PC for free.
First party and exclusive games are more important as system sellers than individual ways to make money.
Ratchet & Clank has a trove of good ones.
Does remote pairing and also keeps playing videos when you leave the browser, too.
PPP is not $1 CAD to $1 USD.
We've had a few years now in Canada where it's been one of the best places to buy video games, especially since the PSN/SEN doesn't charge the 13% in tax that retailers in this province would hit me with.
Still sucks though. I've noticed ebgames raising prices on upcoming games for a while.
Could be worse. (Read: Europe, Australia, etc.)
Winning this would be a treat!
