They're not. The ones that do is because Sony pays them to.
The entire FTC lawsuit is a sideshow. They know they can't win which is why they didn't file the suit in federal court. This is the first time they've ever filed to protect a market leader and, even if MS said they will make COD exclusive to Xbox as soon as possible, it doesn't meet a single criteria for a monopolistic move. Way to waste tax payer money.
This is a clear example of monopoly behavior. Apple owns the ecosystem And has competing products to GamePass, Spotify, etc. Their options don't have to pay the apple tax, competitors do, which means they will be more expensive or have a significantly slimmer profit margin, or both.
It goes off the rails about 10 hours in and drags for too long before coming back and you can see the filler they added to pad the length. You'll know it when you get there and that's when you'll say "maybe now is when I'll stop playing and take a break"
Yes, generally it's a very tight story but it should be because it's a linear narrative game, not a massive open world.
Right consoles will never compete with mobile in terms of numbers. Quality?
Does he mean all COD or COD War zone? Obviously war zone will stay on everything.
No one with a brain thinks the the future. Maybe after my lifetime. Internet speeds. Internet speeds and data centers around the world are a long way away from making this possible. People that live in cities or densily populated areas forget home many people don't live there. My parents can't get cable or fiber internet. They went from satalites to cellular for their home connection. No where near good enough for streaming games.
MASSIVE AAA games cost $100-$150 miion to make (total over 3-5+ years)... So $2+ billion covers the cost of roughly 20 of those games per year (including marketing). Obviously many AAA games cost in the 40-50 million range to produce. RDR2 was over $300 million but that's rare.
Its easy to see why companies love subscription models. Easy, predictable, revenue to fund content.
AFTER the acquisition MS would be the 3rd largest gaming company, still behind Sony. Will it create an u fair market? No. MS isn't going to start charging $100 for games or charging developers an insane high % to publish on Xbox.
As it should. There is nothing a out this deal that creates a monopoly or an anti-competitive environment.
I'd ditch the apple TV anyways and get a Nvidia Shield Pro TV. Easily the best streaming box.
This was always DOA. MS was already preparing to launch GamePass and Stadia had no physical console or game studios.
Agree. Halo 2 was the first modern console shooter. The concept of forming a party and going from game to game together is expected now but groundbreaking when Halo 2 did it.
Gameplay in one was boring, and that's not really an out there opinion. It's pretty easy to find people that say "amazing game, loved it, great story... Sure the gameplay was a little dull but..."
OK probably wasn't the right word for 2. It was fun/good.
No Halo? The original was groundbreaking when it released and the twist with the flood was a jaw dropping moment.
Well, story in 1 was good, game play sucked. Gameplay in 2 was OK, story was bad. So how about nailing both?
@Crows90
Fallout 76 is a MMO; Starfield is not. It will be an evolution of oblivion, Skyrim, fallout 3, and fallout 4 style games.
@thorstein
Except Playstation does have good exclusives... Death Stranding isn't one of them for me. Boring AF and I'm convinced if Kojima didn't make it, almost no one would say it's great.
... It is in Xbox... Xbox GamePass for PC. It's right in the name.
They will once the acquisition is complete. They've stated multiple times all first party titles will be day and date on GamePass.
