The extra $$ isn't for early access, that's just part of it. You're pre-purchasing the expansions and car passes at a discount. That's why I dropped the $40ish, I know I'll buy the expansions when they come out, might as well get them now.
Obviously MS could since they have cash reserves of over $130 billion. Problem is then building a new game from scratch or give it to (or buy) a studio that already makes soccer games. It'd be a great GamePass game, but I think its unlikely.
For gamers, sure, but it makes no business sense. MS does it because PC is also a MS platform, so they don't care if you play there or Xbox.
They've already announced theyre relaunching the game in Q1 with the X/S and PS5 versions... So yes, they're relaunching it next year.
VR will always be a niche product, including for gaming. They're heavily invested in AR which is much more usable and has a chance for a significantly broader audience.
Crap, this limits how long I have to finish Far Cry 6 now. I know my 4th play through is going to start shortly after this launches and then no other single player games will matter, ha
They already said it'll be a free upgrade for current owners of Witcher 3. https://www.theverge.com/20...
Already pre-downloaded it off GamePass. Can't wait for this!
For me the third-person view switch is the worst part of the game; beaks the immersion. Far Cry has always been a series about keeping you in the character perspective. Let's be honest to, the "artistic reasons" the team talks about when adding it are so they can sell cosmetics.
@zacfoldor you're correct that it'll have the creation club content. That isn't the same thing as all the mods that are available. Definitely worth a revisit for that creation club content though (If you're a fan, I assume it is anyways)
The fact that you trust youtubers is sad. (also true for those that trust ign). If an overall meta score is great 7-10...then it's likely worth an effort on your part, or just wait until the timed exclusivity expires and play it on gamepass
I'm going to fire up oblivion again soon, then Skyrim. Incredible games that need a revists, especially with some mods
Blame Sony for it not having mods or just play it on xbox/pc
Not surprised. Bethesda consistently delivers amazing games.
Given that most of what we "know" about Norse mythology was written by christians, I'd say anyone making anything up as they go along is about as accurate as anything else.
I'd love it if this was their version of a Borderlands game!
I'm curious about Wolverine. Spider-Man was great, but largely an empty open world. Miles was a rip-off cash grab that should've been a $10 DLC, and clearly was indended to be. Wolverine is interesting. Spider-Man clearly was built off sunset overdrive movement and that was the core of Spider-Man. That movement style doesn't fit wolverine, so I'm interested to see what they do with that.
It failed because it wasn't good and didn't have games. Even the wii was a trend and people are over controllers like that for games.
Little early to call Playstation VR a success too. Like other VR platforms it's a niche product and it's easily the worst VR headset, it's cheap so that helps.
Wrong thread, let me try again...
They're going to charge $10 for upgrades...

4.5 million concurrent players day 1 is a huge success. God of War set sales records with 5 million in the first MONTH, and I keep hearing about the 100+ million Playstation players...
