And they've been real sly about the 4 v 4 multiplayer - and narrowing FOV which just means they're finding ways of cutting back on bandwidth so as to cut back on server support.
Can't help but think how much more fun Destiny 1 multiplayer would have been with 16 v 16 / 32 v 32 5-7 flag CTF / Dom etc using the Patrol areas.
The real con is getting ppl to pre order the game in the 1st place. If its a good game when released then it will sell. A pre order is not a legal contract of purchase. I really dont understand why anybody would be happy about a retailer thinking they can take away your consumer legal rights.
And if there are a lot of customers that are cancelling their pre orders after playing the demo/beta what does that say about the game..
I switched out the HD to 2TB on purchase. It ran great for ages then there was a patch and the stuttering started. I tried using the PS4 defrag and thought I'd cured it but it keeps coming back.
A map editor would be ideal fore this game
Been having menu stuttering / slowdowns ever since they released PS4 Pro
I'd buy it if it supported the Atari 800/XL/XE games rather than 2600 etc as having a disk drive meant much bigger and wider variety of games. Support for the Mame emulator would be great too.
Actually my PS4 crashes far more than my PC
Sure you "could" upgrade a PC component every year but it's certainly not necessary.
On the other hand the console industry want you to not just upgrade a component but buy a complete new console which will end up more expensive if you get onto that bandwagon - and all due to being PC based system.
But I agree that the console is much neater under the satellite system etc., it fits in better in the lounge and...
Whether gaming would have been bigger or smaller due to consoles is hard to say but I do think there would have been a lot more part time and full time programmers offering a wider variety of games if the home computer had ended up the standard (Atari 800/XL/XE/C64/Spectrum/Amiga/A tari ST etc).
And as for Star Citizen; I'm an original backer (20th Oct 2012) and am getting rather frustrated it's taking just so long for "a game" to be offered and the single...
The Scorpio, like the PS4 Pro is what used to be the next gen in consoles with yet another new game CPU/GPU format but this time they don't have to go with that as it's basically a PC and has backward compatibility. I expect we will see yet another PS4 xxx and another Xbox variant with yet more powerful CPU/GPU etc etc
It will definately be my format of choice after playing Destiny 1 on PS4 since launch.
PS4 version has suffered from lag since the begining due to lack of dedicated servers plus the game has been starved of good content - says something when a new game mode is just 2 v 2 rather than 3 v 3 and this is where the PC version could shine as user created content is added.
I have my PS4 lifted about 10mm at the front which seems to solve the issue unless theres some dust over the eject button.
Just as with the PS3 blu-ray failures Sony just ignores theres a problem😵
I just have to remember to create a party chat on PS4. It is annoying though. Same problem with CoD IW which is by the same devs so.......
I suppose it is a dissappointment when you re-skin previous COD games that took at least a few months of work but are not getting millions of dollars for it.. and to add insult the peasants arent buying the season pass aka a few more simple maps with plenty of invisible walls.
Id really like to know if you use an external drive then upgrade or just have to change to a new PS4 due to a fault etc. you can simple plug in the external drive and continue playing like the Xbox.
In the past Sony locked the data to a particular console rather than an account which was a huge pain when a console failed.
I looked at the accessibility option but you cannot remove a button so I cannot set R3 not to be used / assigned.
Interesting article; Im 57 and suffer from a right hand dissability. When pressing the trigger on the controller I also push down the R3 button. Playing games like Destiny is fine but playing ANY Battlefield game is just pure frustration as theres no option to remove the R3 button from play. Its a great shame that theres no option to configure controller settings as Im quite sure there are many that just gave up on console gaming because of this limitation.
For the Xbox the main advantage comes if you wanted to upgrade your console as you dont need to create a backup etc. , just unplug ext drive and plug into new console and continue as normal.
Ive got a 2tb drive internal half filled in PS4 and it would be a pain to switch to PS4 Pro but if the ext works like Xbox it will be less time consuming. ie. take 2tb out and put it back into ext case and plug into
PS4 pro or copy to a new ext hd and plug that into PS4 Pro.
Man I absolutely loved Crimson Skies - I too had it for the PC and remember ATI bringing out a card/drivers that converted 16bit to 32bit graphics and really improving the image quality. Even have the radio shows :)
I just want more multiplayer maps and game modes. Fantastic game smooth fun online so I just want more:)
Another point is right now if you pre-order D2 you actually have little idea as to the content you're paying for. What if, as you suggest, are locked into the purchase yet only get 1 x 2 stage small raid (as only require 4 ppl), 2 x linear strikes (Inverted Spire and Lake of shadows), 1 patrol area.
Sure we're read that the strike is larger than before and how much more work it was but that could translate to 5 more metres of a straight path. We do know that crucible maps wil...
