On the contrary, the general consensus is that Far Cry 3 is actually a very well optimized game.
I get what you're saying, and I do agree to an extent - It's just that I see more multiplatforms nowadays than anything. It just begs the question I posted originally: why bother having multiple systems on the market if we are all going to have the same games anyway (for the most part) might as well just make one console.
I guess I'm comparing this to the days of PS1/N64 or SNES/MegaDrive. They had games for their own respective audience. I understand there are st...
Why even bother having individual consoles if the only games people really give a shit about are multiplatform...
If anything, this puts me off Mountain Dew and Doritos
First the Tomb Raider series, now these games. I wonder if these versions will also be direct rips of GOG.com's. Probably so.
Anyone else find it funny how these titles just keep getting longer and longer with more irrelevant 'buzz words' What's next? A Wii U version called 'Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus U'
Well...that's it, you mentioned Half Life 2: Episode 3 so that's another 6 months we'll be waiting. Thanks a lot! :P
My point is - if they focused on making a really GOOD single player campaign, versus a rushed 5-10 hour game that offers no real surprises, then the $60 is still justified providing it's a memorable and enjoyable experience.
Thanks Summons,
Yeah I've never played the games before. I'm not even sure if it appeals to my general tastes. I've never really been into the whole Japanese culture with mechs and stuff, but then again - it's Hideo Kojima. Also not sure if I like the childish characters and voice acting :/ But...it's Hideo Kojima lol.
I dunno dude, I don't find games age at all for me. Especially ones I liked. I have NEVER had an issue with the tank or grid like controls of say Tomb Raider or Resident Evil and have always adapted to them just as well, or better than, 3D controls in most cases.
That said, I will freely admit that if anything, these games have become a lot more scarier than I ever remember them being. I know I probably sound like a complete coward, but I genuinely refuse to play the Tomb...
Really torn on buying this collection. It's hard finding a review that is evaluating the quality of the HD remaster and not the games themselves.
Why are you all surprised? Every game this gen onwards requires multiplayer/co-op BY LAW! That's what's 'in' at the moment.
They simple ripped the versions found on GOG.com. In the games' directory there's files relating to GoodOldGames (gogwrap.exe for instance) and priced at $9.99 each, it's a bit of a stretch.
I understand some people, myself included, like all their games in one central location and not have to worry about multiple accounts, but $10 each? damn.
That seems to be the growing trend. I'm absolutely sick of this release first-patch later mentality that both software and hardware developers seem to adopt. It's disgraceful. Having the internet should be an alternative avenue for fixing games, it's not an excuse to slack off and release products that simply are NOT ready to be in the hands of consumers.
This will no doubt sound stupid, but what is the significance of KIFFLOM and 'THE TRACT IS NOT YET WRITTEN'?
So this bundle includes a game that's essentially a direct copy of a Nintendo game and a collection of last generation titles? That's pretty funny.
Not that I have anything against these titles, All Stars is pretty damn fun and R+C are classics, it's just a weird bundle I suppose. I can understand All Stars for the multi player but why R+C HD?
Ok, I lol'd.
...really?
"The trailer being posted yesterday leaves us with 5 months until April. The game is going to be the 5th GTA. April is in Spring. The Trailer was posted on the 14th, so is the release date going to be April 14th 2013?"
Honestly guys, read that out loud and tell me it doesn't sound stupid. Jesus Christ, talk about grasping at straws.
Did you really need to write 99% of the words beginning with a capitol letter. It's incredibly annoying and doesn't make you look intelligent.
Welcome to any PC game out there. I'm just going to go out on a limb here and assume you've not played many PC games before if you consider this the worst game you've experienced having problems with. It is known that the AA is bringing down the framerate, granted - but I hardly think that warrants calling it one of the worst PC releases in a long time. I suspect the majority of this games issues lie within the drivers.
I run an i5 with a GTX570 and am able to run...
