God of War was my Game of the Year for 2018. It has just as good a story, graphics, audio, and characters as any other game in 2018 but unlike certain other games it has top notch gameplay as well. I don't know if I've ever enjoyed another weapon in any other game as I did the Leviathan Axe. It's the most well rounded game this year and one of my favorites of all time now.
@Test Um OK? No one cares that the game isn't as long as GTA5 or RDR. I can tell you this: I don't play GTA5 anymore since it launched and probably won't be playing RDR2 again either due to the outdated controls. When people look back on the games that shape future titles it will be God of War they remember just like TLOU.

Just like they did to GTA5 and GTA4. I mean when will people learn that every Rockstar game gets a 97-98 automatically and they never deserve it. They always get beat out by games that are rated lower. I think a lot of us like myself saw this coming. When I saw the reviews for God of War and the love everyone had for it I knew Sony had another game on their hands on the same level as The Last of Us. At that point I just said good luck to RDR2.
I guess you aren't aware that The Last of Us won GOTY from far more places than GTA5 did. I've been saying this would happen all year. When God of War got a 95 review average all you heard was it doesn't matter b/c this is RDR2's year and it will dominate GOTY. Before reviews came out I knew RDR2 would have a 97-98 just like GTA5. Despite that I had full confidence that God of War would pull a repeat of what TLOU did to GTA5. So far that's looking true.

@Shock You don't even know what a fact is. God of War was praised for it's amazing combat in pretty much all 100+ reviews it got. That is what a fact is. Not your personal hating opinion.
Lol that combat system is one of the best combat systems I've ever experienced. Just b/c you probably suck at the game and likely only mash one button doesn't mean it's outdated or lacks features. Why don't you look up some videos of some players showing you just how good it is.
Yep the rightful winner takes another one. It won their Reader's choice GOTY as well along with Best Action/Adventure, Best Story, Best Graphics and more.
Actually no I'm not. I've been expecting it honestly for awhile now. At least they gave people a head's up a whole year in advance. They did it right. That way no one who only had those platforms renewed their PS+ and then felt ripped off later. Microsoft is just straight up changing their rules without any notice and leaving some members with less than what they promised.
That is really incredible when you think about it. Possibly 4 consensus GOTY games in 10 years is crazy. No other publisher would have more than 1 in that timeframe. Rockstar only has 1 ever. Sony currently tied with Bethesda with 3 total and I don't see Bethesda winning another anytime soon. Especially if they don't improve that engine.
Of course they have. Anyone who thinks they can make and release this in just a couple weeks doesn't know a thing about game development. You have to get approval for this from Marvel and others, then you have to make it, test it, and go through certification which is usually something that takes weeks alone.

Ah so yeah it was in Europe only. I'm in the US so that's why I wasn't quite sure. They've never pulled that stunt here. Still at least they made it up for the EU players and gave them something else. Microsoft needs to do the same thing.
Amazing what actually playing the game and exploring the options will do for a score. That first 3/10 review they pulled was utter crap.
I'm sorry when was this? I've been a Plus member since day 1 in 2010 and they have never given me a duplicate game. Can you tell me exactly when this was and what the game was? Was it in another country? I know for sure the US has never had one.
Entitled? Give me a break you corporate apologist. It doesn't matter that Xbox Live was only for playing online years ago. The fact is they promised 2 new titles on Xbox One and Xbox 360 every month for years now. There are people who purchase Xbox Live just for the free games. Not everyone cares about playing online. You aren't the one who decides what Gold is for.
Celeste is awesome. However they gave that Lara Croft game before. This is the first time that either PS+ or GWG has hit us with a duplicate and it's not cool. It doesn't matter if some people missed it back then it's not fair for those of us who have been members since the start and already have it. First they give us an old OG Xbox game last month and now they hand us a duplicate. Not cool at all.
Lol how wrong you are. The PS4 is still $299 and as Black Friday has shown the past 2 years massive amounts of people bought it at $199. When it hits that pricepoint officially this thing will sell millions and millions. The PS5 isn't coming until 2020 at the earliest. Sony will sell close to if not 16 million in 2019 alone. It will pass 100 million next year wait and see. PlayStation consoles have a history of selling pretty well long after the next one releases.
OK? That would mean that it would be higher on the X then since it can push more pixels. That's how that usually works. The weaker console would be the smaller one in that case. The more detail you have the bigger your file size becomes. That's why 4K texture packs and such are so huge.
@Darkborn You didn't read what I said. I said it won best story and some best audio awards. I didn't say 2 awards. Best Soundtrack, best audio, and best performance are all pretty much tied to the sound of the game. No offense but just because you sweep categories related to sound doesn't mean you're going to win overall game.
